That’s something he needs to stay away from.... Deadlifts and squats can do a lot of damage to the back, knees and joints. He can do some weights if he wants but that’s just foolish.
Poorly executed deadlifts and squats are harmful but done right they actually make the body more resilient to injury. Getting strong in the basic heavy compound movements and intelligently incorporating it around boxing specific training can only yield positive results.
Its a rack pull. Still, quite strong for a guy who walks around below 170 @5'9 and who competes in an endurance sport.
I hear you and I agree for a heavyweight or a fighter who’s more brawler, but for someone like Bud who’s skills include speed and quick twitch reflexes weights tear muscles in and can fatigue them faster and slow him down a bit. When I boxed I didn’t like mixing in weight training, I never got tired or arm weary at all until I touched the weights and once I stopped I was good again. But that’s just me, I realize others would be different and possibly benefit from it.
Correct form is key, they are safe exercises. I believe they are both beneficial depending on athletic goals.
are you really? Not credible bro but that doesnt stop you does it. Theres differing types of strength mirko and it may surprise you with my findings and experience but you cant really measure true body strength under a barbell.
I've discovered the same. Barbells are so unlike anything you lift in the real world that the strength under the bar doesn't really translate over. I can pull 170kg at my best but the other day was struggling hauling up 80-90kg object up some stairs that drained me worse than any deadlift session. Strong man I think is a better discipline for real world strength than say powerlifting as you are lifting weird objects often with certain mechanical disadvantages depending on the event unlike when benching, squatting and deadlifting where everything is optimal for you to lifte the most weight.
I has told people that he is a bad man. A king and a sage. A high-end worker with the knuckles of man with a low wage. A master of the screen and the stage. A..mpflimpage-um-no-despite all of his rage...he can break the rat out the cage. Umbrella.
