3 things. Thats an awfully high rack pull... The fact his legs completely straighten before the bar even moves isn't good. He doesn't tighten whatsoever before lift.... hence the "shudder". is 206 meant to be a big rack pull for about a 65kg (short frame) person ?
So did his trainer and his nutritionist (and stood by it after the fight). He also reiterated how horrible of a time they had making the weight for Spence. Chest infection, unable to train 2 weeks at a time etc.
Lol yeah 2 bags of skim...The hoist was horrible mate, 20 stories up and stops to a halt because it’s swaying from the wind. I needed half hour after to get over it, ****ing hate heights. The whole top floor slid off the building no bull****. There was road rage up the road an police had stopped traffic so the road was empty otherwise H&S would be on man slaughter charges. Whole floor of a hotel
after 2 beatings and a broken eye socket and run of fighting lower grade opponents, i use my own head when assessing what comes out of fighters mouths. you believe what you like though. making weight easier doesnt mean you are punching faster harder, doesnt mean you are fitter and have as much punch resistance as before.
Mine only went 8 floors but I was on it on the storm last year. Lol. Mad. That's hard work, plastering you need the gear there and then, suppose you had to do it, wouldn't want to do it all day.
They had to put us on day rate, I think I was only doing about £50 a day on the meter lol. Fit for **** all after the lugging bags up
Garbage. If you lift singles, doubles, or triples you'll gain very, very little muscle. And working out your posterior chain with the deadlift, snatch, clean n jerk, etc. are some of the best training you can do for athletic performance. "stiffens the muscles" lmao.
Yeah the whole lifting stiffens muscles is always a ridiculous conclusion made by people who've never touched a weight in their lives. Watch someone like Jujimufu who trains like a bodybuilder and makes Joshua look anorexic do a full splits or a somersault or a butterfly kick or numerous other tricking moves quickly dispels the idea that lifting makes you stiff or even slow.
I've done both powerlifting and boxing, the two DO NOT go together. Of the compound exercises (deadlift, bench, squat), only the squat would translate well into boxing. Even then boxers don't do full squats, they do the kind of quick rep movements used to build power and explosiveness in the legs. Tyson used to do this easily with 315 pounds on his back. Deadlift is a strenuous, mass gaining exercise. Doesn't matter if you do singles, doubles, or triples. The moment you start deadlifting with effort, you're telling your body it needs to grow. Now, if you do a single just to test your strength, that's fine. Looks like that was all Bud was doing here with that rack pull, just testing his strength. Doing it once or twice a week routinely you're going to hamper your boxing. Any competent trainer will tell you this, whether you want to believe it or not.
Oh, how did Joshua adjust his training for Ruiz rematch? Surely with your logic he should have kept his muscles? No, because he learned quickly this isn't powerlifting a butterfly split contest, this boxing. I'd doubt you'd ever see Joshua as built as he was prior as he learned his lesson.
