no way. bud is trying to make money. i think bud is gonna go they mikey garcia or move up n fight pac or horn. but really he should of just fought lipinets. reason being because mikey garcia is in a great spot. he has lots of options. so he has upper hand on negotiations, so i dont see it happening business is gonna be hard to make this fight happen. pac vs horn is a way away and if pac wins a trilogy so his best bet is to defend his belt. but keep in mind he might just wanna move up to 147.
In all fairness to Lipinets he does have an impressive knockout record: This content is protected Maybe I underestimated him by judging him by his performance in the first half of the fight against the wily Rhodes where Lipinets seemed unable to close the distance.
You could def tell he was a mean mfer but you would never know by looking at the dudes appearance that he was a world class fighter. Guy looks like hes gggs relative that owns a bakery or something. The guy is a bad dude but crawford or orozco stop him.
If he has something bigger lined up or is moving up in weight then dropping the belt makes sense. If he's going to stay at 140 and doesn't have a major fight next then he should have just fought Lipinets. Lipinets is solid and has put together a few decent wins but he's not ready for Crawford. Crawford would have beaten Lipinets and with the new Top Rank/ESPN deal he would have made good money doing it. There's always going to be mandatories to deal with and not all fights are going to be super fights. I'm also skeptical he gets to face Pacquaio or any of Haymon's welterweights if he moves up. Maybe staying at 140 and being the only unified titlist in boxing, with ESPN's backing, while waiting for a super fight to develop isn't a bad option. Of course if he can't make weight or think's he has a much bigger fight lined up already that would change things.
You really think Lipinets would beat Terry? Touch fighter for sure and has some good skills, but I don't think he's on Crawford's level. It would have been a fun fight to watch.
Lipinets didn't impress me against boxrec #52 Condo. Crawford and Mickey Garcia would've beaten him rather easily.
No, there are bigger fights for Crawford at 147, and he was not easily making weight at 140. Lipinets is not a bad fighter, but he's not elite. Crawford would beat him, probably by a wide decision.
