Big Difference between Kell Brook vs GGG and this. Kell Brook did not have physical advantages over GGG like Jermell does over Canelo. Kell Brook was not a big explosive puncher. Jermell Charlo is a far better fighter than Kell Brook was. He's far stronger, more skilled, a much bigger puncher, and is more suited to fighting at higher weights than Kell Brook ever was.

Spence made it known that win lose or draw the fight with Bud will be his last fight at 147, that he's moving up to 154. For him to say that right before the fight, in fact it was talked about during the main event, that gives a strong indication that he was drained. Not only was Spence a car crash victim, but he was all but self admittedly drained.

The great part about Charlo vs Canelo is that there's no draining excuse. When it comes to weight differences, there's nothing worse than when a fighter is drained. A fighter moving up is not as taxing on the body as a fighter killing himself to make a low weight.

In fact, weight will be seen as a possible excuse for Charlo if he drops back down to 154 to fight Bud, than it would be for Canelo vs Charlo. That's why Canelo vs Charlo is a bigger and more significant fight than Bud Spence or Bud Charlo. Because there's no possibility of draining.

 Being taller isn't necessarily a physical advantage. Size advantage is much more than the one item you prefer to cherrypick. You have NO IDEA what it takes to add that much mass while maintaining one's explosiveness. Canelo's acclimated himself to 160-175. As evident from his physique on those fights.

Why do you think ODLH looked fit as a fiddle at 154, and soft as a pillow at 160??

Well congrats Mr. Cosell... it's a good thing the fight isn't Charlo v Brook. take your Ritalin child...

Not just height, but also REACH. And SPEED. Jermell is also highly skilled and is a far better fighter today than Spence is, certainly since the car crash. Before the car crash Spence was pretty good, but lets face it, he was damaged goods by the time he fought Bud. Charlo on the other hand is in his physical prime, arguably at his peak mentally and physically. This is a monumental challenge for Canelo.

 and speed? As if Canelo isn't fast himself?? Like I said, nothing Canelo hasn't seen before. Including facing someone two weight classes below.

He's never fought someone like Jermell Charlo. He presents a completely different kind of a challenge than anyone he's ever fought. That's what makes it fun and exciting. But you wanna be a party pooper.

You have NO IDEA what Jermell at 168 even is.... You look at boxing like it's a freaking video game. As if Jermell at 168 will be the same if not BETTER then he is at 154.

And last I looked, Canelo has fought guys two division below who only had a fraction of his big fight experience. Something you either conveniently or ignorantly overlook.

You don't know what he'll look like either. We won't know until we see it. But knowing how in shape and motivated Jermell is I have every reason to believe he'll be as good as he was in the Castaño rematch or even better. We could see the best version of Charlo we've ever seen. If he's been draining himself at 154, he probably will be healthier and even more dangerous at 160 or 168.

If.... Probably.... yeah. Those always go how you want them..

Oohh...he beat a 30yo guy with 20 fights, needing two tries to get it done right. Great example!

Agree with bit about Spence 100%.

However, Canelo dragging a guy up two weight classes is a joke, come on

How good are the Charlos today ? Its been so long since either of them got in the ring ???. How they managed to hold the titles hostage all this time reeks of corruption. Canelo will be at least 14 pounds heavier than. Charlo it shouldn't even be sanctioned. Just shows with Canelo he's agreed to fight 3 times for the same money as he would have got for fighting Benevidez. Jermell shouldnt have a prayer & as for Jermall I doubt he ever fights again

He's not dragging Jermell at all. Jermell wanted this fight for a long time. Jermell's been calling him out and wants to dare to be great.

The last time Jermell was in the ring he KO'd Castaño and he was getting P4P recognition as a result. Get your head outta your ass for once, this is a great fight. Don't be a party pooper.
