Crawford has got one of the worst resumes for the holder of P4P no.1 status.

I agree.. for instance .. the inactivity of TCs opposition.. it is atrocious .. after Khan had been flattened by Canelo in 2016 he had only fought twice up until facing Crawford in 2019.. 2 fights FFS.. Spence had fought once in nearly 3 years.. Porter? ONE bum fight in two years.. Brook? ONE bum fight in 2 years.. there's no way you can compare this guy to the likes of Hearns, Duran, Floyd or Pacquiao.. for some reason Crawford is the flavor of the month at the minute but when you dig down into the substance of his resume it's poor

    Inoue was blowing through divisions.

    Exactly!

So many don’t even consider the condition and inactivity in fighters opposition.

You can only truly assess how skilled a fighter is when he fights an active, healthy, prime skilled opponent. Crawford hasn’t done this.

So frankly people shouting he has “high ring IQ” or he is “really skilled” are simply saying words and don’t really know what they’re talking about. I’d really like to see people go into detail as to what makes Crawford so “skilled”.

Also he probably starts camp at about 180 pounds so has never even faced any real size deficits either.. smoke & mirrors imo .. hes doing the opposite of what I'd class as p4p.. but then again the masses are generally quite gullible & stupid..

Crawford looked to be about 165 on fight night against Spence. He was clearly the bigger man as he was bulky and just yolked out. Spence was drained.

He ranks up there for sure although I would say Shane Mosley had the worst resume out of any fighter who become P4P number 1. But Mosley was 35-0 and beat ODLH who was P4P number 4 ? I still don't think he should've been P4P number 1 though especially over RJJ.

Well if we're talking strictly boxing there's hall of fame boxers Johnny Tapia, Mark "2 Sharp" Johnson, and Michael Carbajal among others, but if we're talking combat sports in general there's the goat MMA fighter Demetrius "Mighty Mouse" Johnson. The UFC almost refused and absolutely hated the fact that he was the best fighter in the sport, some 5'5 Flyweight, Dana White tried everything he could to make him lose, he already broke the number of defenses ever in the UFC so he mysteriously got robbed vs Cejudo(a guy he KO'd before), got refused a rematch and was sold off to another promotion for Ben Askren which is the equivalent of dog **** for gold. Americans just don't like midgets, there isn't even a division below 125(flyweight) in the UFC, Inoue would be forced to fight featherweights from the beginning of his career.

Nah, it was Mosley for a little bit due to the controversial nature of the DLH/Trinidad fight and Mosley jumping from 135 beat DLH clearly then Trinidad got it back when he beat Vargas and Joppy, then when Trinidad lost to Hopkins it was Roy Jones again.

Makes sense, timeline must've been off. Mosley did look amazing, RING were calling Shane the next Ray Robinson in one issue. He was cleaning out welter....then Forrest came to play haha

Great fighters but number 1? Cmon. And I don’t watch mma like that to even care. I’m super casual in that sport.

Crawford has always been among the highest talented. But resume is just lacking.

The thing which really annoys me regarding his P4P ranking is not only do we see this sense of entitlement from him, basically stating that it's indisputable he's #1 and demanding that everyone should rank him so and anyone who disagrees is a hater or it's some kind of discrimination, and we've seen this from him going right back at least six years if not longer IIRC so I'm not just talking about now, but we also see many of his fellow fighter countrymen and media members act the same. We've never seen this from Usyk, Inoue, and Loma. You ask them to name you their top 5 and you'll get a much more humble reply. Crawford didn't even have Usyk in his top 5 the other week.

We've seen it a few times from Clenelo but to be fair to him when he was P4P#1, controversial decisions and PED abuse aside, his resume was/is stacked like few others.

Floyd came out the other day and was acting like there's no argument Crawford is #1 and then he went on to try and discredit Inoue, even accusing him of being a PED cheat. He insinuated it but there is zero ambiguity what he was hinting at. The irony of him of all people levelling such accusations could only be lost on him and his cheerleaders and he's not the only fighter from those shores who has insinuated Inoue's a PED cheat. What a disgusting thing for a fighter to do. Imagine Usyk, Loma, Inoue etc. doing the same about an American fighter who whooped one of their fellow countrymen fighters fair and square? These malicious accusations are completely baseless and you have to imagine it because it would never happen.

Andre Ward tweeted the other day that Crawford had been P4P for a long time and he's been telling people that for a long time. As you all know, if not you should do by now, Serge is Mr Receipts and I got all the receipts of him doing this going back to like 2017-2018 where he was adamant Crawford deserved to be ranked above Loma.

Serge also got the receipts of him tripping up over his own logic and reasoning and I shall expose his ass at a later date. FTR, he said Spence was one win away from being P4P#1 back then too. I kid you not.
