I ****en hate that stupid people think that either Crawford or Spence are avoiding each other.

Stop being morons and blaming the wrong people.

If he is happy with that then more power to him but he is not. He has been vocal about fighting name opponents and being better known. Yet he continues to fight nobodies and purse goes up each time. BLK inflated that ego by giving away 10 million to him at large financial lost. This PPV was suppose to showcase his popularity and PPV power. Well it shows he has none. Also good luck getting 8 figure payday from any other promotion if your next opponent isn't Spence.

Awesome all the best to Crawford, he's been amongst the best fighters of the era, & he can do as he likes, it's his career and may he keep good health & make as much $$$ as he desires - it's his prerogative to fight who & when he wants.

Of course, having said that, it's also my prerogative as a fight fan to not rank him with the ATGs, because of level of competition. There have been countless fighters from the past that seemed like they were gonna be the real deal but were ultimately not. They ran into better fighters and the questions about them got answered.

It seems the gulf in ability between the absolute best & lesser top contenders is larger now than ever. The guys at the bottom of the top ten (let alone twenty), are pretty much garbage. They are incapable of giving the true elite a real struggle where they have to dig deep. In the past eras in general, the guys ranked in the lower top ten-twenty where much better-quality fighters, and far more capable of pushing the best so that they shined the way they did.

With Crawford (and also Inoue), I haven't seen anyone really push him. I'm sure he's won a ridiculous % of total rounds, which should seem impressive, but it's not because the quality of competition just isn't there.

Besides less boxers being around now, the proliferation of weight divisions dilute each top ten

Crawford is an excellent fighter, but the biggest threats were early in his career, Gamboa and Postol. Everyone else since then Crawford was expected to win.

I think it's just disappointing after we just got done with an era with Pacquiao and Mayweather and Crawford was fighting in the same weight classes. Those are big shoes to fill so it's hard to compare, but unfortunately we never got a passing of the torch fight. There have also been many quality fights that could have happened - Taylor, Pacquiao, Thurman when we was a threat and now Spence Jr. Even the Spence Jr. fight has marinated for a few years now and it just seems to have lost it's shine.

I don't totally blame Crawford, it's also the state of boxing. It's hard to tell who is at fault, but it's a mix of various parties being too greedy to make quality fights happen.

Apart from spence (they want to fight but the negociation is hard, I dont blame crawford for being EXTREMELLY carefull with haymon).

Apart from spence, which GREAT fighter has crawford not fought? I wonder.

He has fought ****ing everyone. And ****ing everyone looked like **** in the ring in front of crawford. That's mayweather's curse. When you are such good, all the champions look like crap, and people say you had no oposition. Worse fighters will suffer a lot more vs these very champions and will be more recognized, just because they are worse. The mayweather paradox.

I hear you, but there is a huge difference in quality between Floyd's comp & Crawford's comp. So, while Crawford may have the same % of rounds won as Floyd, he's nowhere near as proven. It's not even close.

Crawford has had the best competition available. You cant ask him for more. He cant make up atg oponents out of nowhere. The best available is not enough? then you should wonder why.

Crawford is not a normal fighter.

He hasn't beaten the most popular/respected fighter in the weight class he's been at for 4 1/2 years. If he does, I'll agree with you, until then, he needs to step up.
