I honestly dont see many 147lbers beating him. he seems to have a decent chin aswell, and hes gonna beat you to the punch most of the time. Beating Postol was a very good win. :good

The 140lb division isnt the strongest he should move up asap, if he is fighting manny next i think we will see crawford get the decision. NO knockouts. Knockdowns for each man.

He domintaed postol. Outclassed a tall rangy fighter with good movement and jab. Garcia is too slow and robotic. Porter will give him a good fighter but i think crawford can hamdle him inside. Spence leaves his chin up i the air and comes in with no jab. Thurman is very dangerous because he swings away like a wounded tiger, but if crawford plays it safe then he can also dominate him. Crawdaddy is the reall deal.

The guy seems to possess all the qualities of a great fighter plus a sense of humanity and vulnerability that connects him to fans. This last fight resurfaced some of his ability to control a fight based on what his opponent can offer. I'm disappointed by the negative reaction of a few who clearly suffer from a less dangerous version of a false consensus effect. A man brings you action, pours his heart and soul out for you fight after fight and then outboxes and strategically dominates another undefeated champ and now its not "good enough"

Good post, lep. You are a fair poster, which is refreshing around here.

Your entitled to your opinion however I doubt you were a staunch supporter to begin with so looking at this fight with a negative telescope would obviously increase your confirmation biased. Why does Terrance have to adhere to your "Manny" standards......Clottey and Postol are dynamically different.

I was pretty dissapointed in the fight to be completely honest. I want to like Crawford but I'm just not seeing the greatness everyone else sees. Postol was outmatched but my gut tells me I was overrating him greatly to even begin with

I see sparks of greatness in him but your right he still needs that moment of self acutualization where he crosses that threshold. Some fighters never achieve that moment, some touch it to earlier and just build upon it. For me at least here are those moments that I witnessed as they unfolded for certain fighters

    Hoya vs Chavez
    Mosely vs Hoya
    Tito vs Campas
    Forrest vs Mosely
    Benitez vs Duran
    Hearns vs Hagler
    Floyd vs Corrales
    Barrerra vs Morales
    Izzy vs Rafa
RJJ vs Ruiz was something extraordinary though Ruiz wasn't the greatest HW champ

Crawford weighs 157. I don't see any 147 pounders beating him either.

What's the point of doing these weigh-ins basically a day and a half before the fights when nobody is actually stepping in the ring remotely near their weight classes?

Move the weigh ins back to the day of the fights.

Marvin Hagler entered the ring for middleweight title defenses (when weigh ins occurred hours before and the same day of the fight) the weight Crawford fought at Saturday.

Weighing in like 36 hours before fights is officially a failed experiment.

Bare minimum? Log off. He dropped the guy two times and only lost 2 rounds at worst to him. It was a clinic. You're not going to knock every guy out you fight. How many times did Pac knock out Bradley? This performance against Postol was on point with Pac's against Bradley in their last fight except Crawford got hit less than Pac did in that fight and had and easier time.

You got a right to feel the way you feel but I enjoyed every bit of it. For me, the little money I spent was well spent. I got to witness a potential great fighter dissect a very good opponent and display a new wrinkle in his fight game that many people didn't know or think that he had. It was a thorough execution of the sweet science. Knockouts while exciting are only part of the game and doesn't take away the excitement of watching a class A fighter do his thing.
