Yes he did dumbass. You don't know **** about boxing just a hating troll who spews stuff you heard other haters say. Chico Hatton Zab Cotto Canelo JLC to name a few.
Crawford is clearly an elite boxer with amazing skills but you can't deny he absolutely wasted his career, he had the tools to be an ATG instead he wont be remembered in 20-30 years.
I wonder if Crawford can rectify his legacy somewhat by having a Calzaghe esque Indian summer? Joe had issues throughout the majority of his career , injury , fight cancellations, a serious of solid but unspectacular opponents in the main but it came good in the end… Crawford still has time but he's at the tipping point soon.. Zepeda ain't exactly going to do much for him , he's a skilful tricky fighter but he's been in some hard fights now and is a light welterweight anyway… That Crawford will probably have a significant size advantage over too.. it also means Crawford will be 34 when he has an opportunity to fight again after this, he doesn't have much wear and tear but at some point he'll start to decline..
It's sad, I love watching him. He has a really calculated and 'cold' style of boxing, calm and collected. There aren't many really unique boxers nowadays, and Crawford is one of them along with Lomachenko and Tyson Fury probably. He has another 2 years at elite level, he needs to make it count.
I don’t know why he shows Arum such loyalty. I mean he gave him his 1st shot & everything. but look at Arum’s track record with his most valuable prize fighters. De la Hoya, bounced Mayweather , Bounced Paquiao, Bounced Mikey García, Bounced that’s practically 3-4 generations of fighters. Can you not see that Bud??
You realize three of those four examples left Top rank when they were world wide superstars capable of promoting themselves? TC is not even close to that situation. And Mikey's AWOL at the moment.
The mad thing about Crawford is he made his name on the high risk low reward fights. Then when it came time to show his star appeal and beat those big names, it just never happened for him. Tbf, he's only one victory away from greatness. If he beats the winner of Spence and Pac he's a 3 time unified champion and his legacy is secure.
Arum knows Crawford is trash so he is just feeding him tomato cans and I’m sure Crawford is happy to accept that
they also didn’t have PBC & DAZN as viable landing spots. he doesn’t have to be a Mega Star & promote himself in order to do better then his current situation. So many more lanes for him to choose then the mid 90s - 2000s Mikey is AWOL because he is FAT & rich NOW picking & choosing what he would like to do… ever since leaving Arum. he is a prime example of what Bud should be doing especially at such an advanced age. also Mayweather gambled on himself & won BIG time, he got the De la Hoya fight after he left Top Rank & became worldwide A $ide after beating Oscar. (He doesn’t get enough credit for that) please tell me you are not defending Arum!!
