Well p4p is fiction. Hypothetical.. But if if I were to imagine that Loma & TC were the same size I'd be confident that Loma would beat him.. As talented as TC is, I've seen many Crawfords before.. I've not seen many Lomas! Guy with that type of movement (both feet & upper body) his feints, angles, his IQ, so many things going on.. He's a nightmare! Making guys quit, doing what he's done in 14 fight's! Sowwy..
Gambo….undefeated Postol…..undefeated Jeff Horn....beat Manny. Held all 4 belts at 140 no Mikey Garcia, Prograis or anyone else wanted any piece of him
All of those results were AFTER Crawford had badly beat them. Gamboa was undefeated when they fought, Postol was undefeated when the fought.
I keep seeing this and I'm like WTF? How is a home cooking loving, drug test failing, Fielding fighting diva rated number 1 by anyone? Crawford, Lomachenko, Uysk, Inoue, SSR, Spence hell even Thurman should all be rated above him at the minute. Failed drugs tests alone should keep a fighter out IMO.
I have Crawford at number one, but he's in somewhat of a placeholder position until different fights take place: 1. The winner of Jacobs v. Canelo may have a strong case. 2. If Spence fights Crawford, the winner probably takes or secures the number one spot. 3. Inoue is expected to rise. 4. If Usyk surprises us at heavyweight, he can take number one. 5. Loma/Mikey/Tank winner can take number one if one or more of those fights happen..
No. He has done squat all at the moment. He has a personality of a toad. Plus he is not really exciting in the ring. LOMACHENKO is NUMERO UNO.
Mathysse was washed up Porodnikov took his prime away. Face it Crawford has a career full of nobodies.
No, you're correct. 38 years old and a two weightclass jump means nothing. If Hopkins can do it, so should whoever else.
Spot on as far as the fluidity of things...although I've got Loma #1, it's a tight race at the top and new cases to be made if certain fights happen. I go back and forth on the rankings, but my tiers look something like this: Tier 1 Loma Bud Inoue Tier 2 Usyk Canelo Tier 3 Spence GGG SRR Nietes Mikey
I mostly agree, but Inoue is probably tier 3. He and Spence are two of the best fighters around, but I'm pretty sure beating Brook, Mikey, and Peterson is better than what Inoue has done so far. Sor should be tier 2 based on his huge resume, but Inoue is pretty clearly better than him.
I haven't looked at every thread on here, but I haven't seen Loma getting much praise for beating Crolla, just praise for looking excellent whilst doing so. Khan is so difficult to rate as a win at times. He's had some really solid wins and looks excellent on occasion. And he also has some shocking performances with some near scares too (the Limmond fight for example). Is this Khan better than Crolla? I'd say so. He might well nick a couple of rounds off Crawford too but the KO is inevitable. If Crawford looks as good as he has done for most of his career then the performance should be applauded as required, if not the win itself.
Praise is praise. Did Canelo deserve praise for running through SMW title holding Rocky Fielding? Crawford won't get a lick of praise for beating Khan , who is better than Crolla like you said. That win is already being downplayed.
Praise IS praise but praising for a performance is different to praising for the W itself. Like I said, I haven't seen much praise for beating Crolla so far at all. I thought Loma looked exceptional but the win is pretty meaningless, certainly more so than Khan.
