I'm surprised the amount of boxing fans supporting the whole "rules for thee but not for me" move from Crawford. Rules and bills don't apply to him apparently. He thinks he can just tip the orgs what he feels like after using them up.

That's no way to run a sport

My issue with the orgs charging a percentage is that it creates a conflict interest. They will be inclined to order the biggest money fights rather than the most deserving.
I think a flat fee would be better.

This. Crawford is a great fighter, but once again shows he isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed outside the ring and that he’s hard to do business with.

He agreed to the rules prior to the fight, but once he makes his biggest payday suddenly feels he’s above the rules.

If he didn’t want to pay the WBC’s fee he shouldn’t have fought for their belt.

    Lol…. What a dumb analogy…

In a restaurant, you are paying for goods and services…

Crawford is the person sacrificing, as well as the product, not the suits with the sanctioning body…

I would be more against it if boxing didn’t have several “major” sanctioning bodies…. all of this **** is stale, fighters should fight for ranking and titles, not pay for them….the show pays everyone, why should a fee come out of an athletes purse or personal funds?

Crawford should pay, he’s disrespectful in the video and used the wbc to get eyes on the screen. He’s shown another example of him being hard to work with and greedy.

Likely, it’s a move from turki to devalue the belts.

Why do people support Crawford? The wbc is not a voluntary organisation, none of them are or ever was or will be.

Crawfords profile was raised by Canelo that night, not the WBC belt.

The championship status and undisputed status also have a part to play in that.

people calling him a legend is due to the undisputed status in more than one division, not simply beating canelo

Everyone here seems to hate the ABCs, but someone a lot of people hate here doesn't want to pay the sanctioning fee, all of a sudden it's peal clutching.

"Someone think about the poor ABCs!!"

I've no problems with what TC did. He's at the tail end of his career anyway. And he's not holding a belt hostage either.

    I don’t hate the ABC’s.
Most hatred of the ABC’s (not all) is formed from lack of understanding.
