Bud currently sits at 21st in the all time P4P list on BoxRec. Factoring in the competitiveness of eras and other economics, would we say that's about right? Maybe he sneaks in to the 20, for the records he set.

Very hard for him to be that high.

    He hasn't got the resume.

A great fighter though. And I personally think that he'll come back.

    I think he'll be back.

Again, he hasn't done enough to be declared the best fighter of all time.

    You must be young.

    A little surprised he retired.

I would have thought he would aim for one more big fight.

He is running scared of Connor Benn.

Imagine the damage to his reputation taking that fight and swatting the little angry wasp to the canvas.

A complete liberty World Class Talent fighting Essex Area Level Talent and a CV destroyer.

No way Crawford was hanging around for another 7 years to make the Benn fight when he turned 45 years of age so a good decision.

Excellent post. Beating the undisputed champ in one fight to win is different to beating all the champs and gatekeepers etc.

From the guy who claimed Connor benn will be the best welterweight of these shores ever!!

Plenty of records still stand from the 80/90s. Quite a few athletics records from then still stand also.

Who should he have fought in his career that he didn’t?

Pacquiao was old and had been beaten by Horn by the time he arrived at 147. Mikey Garcia was 3 years behind him at 135. Literally can’t think of anyone else he should have fought.

I like Crawford he’s a top fighter and seems like a good bloke. I’m not saying he ducked fighters, purely that his record is pretty awful when comparing it too other top fighters. Simply didn’t have the names nor talent in the divisions he fought in. De la Hoya has a better record and he was never undisputed, multiple losses too.

Can’t compare Crawfords record to dlh, dlh record is actually top level without hype. yet still, nobody considers him tbe.
Crawfords isn’t anywhere near dlh record

still getting bites 3 months on, classic.
And my point is still valid as fitness tests in the gym and weights lifted etc all have better results now than then.
