I actually like Crawford and rate him very highly, and whilst I wouldn't put his fanboys in the same category or even close to as the Haney and Twink fanboys on social media who are just utterly vile and a special breed of vermin, many of them are really annoying for the reasons I mentioned

Lot of hate for Tank here lol. I thought his resume was building quite nicely and was comfortably in the top 10 PFP. Shows how out of touch I am with modern day boxing. I need to do better

There's a reason he looked a bit ordinary the other night .. it's because the playing field is leveling and his weight grifting capacity is shortening, partly due to age.. he ain't no Pac, Floyd or ODH.. sorry, he just isn't.. he's just been blessed with the type of genetics that has allowed him to be able to manage cutting a lot of weight in the past.. i mean even at LW his in ring weight was close to 160.. that **** aint p4p for me .. whatever that even is! I bet the guys been walking around at 180 for years..

I can’t even take Haney or Tank fanboys seriously anymore so they don’t bother me for the most part. At one point they were the worst by far though

Giving almost anyone in history anything more than a 50% shot against the likes of Mayweather or Pac is actually crazy to me. You’re talking fighters of the most elite class.

People talked like it was a foregone conclusion Crawford is too big for Pac and would whoop him prime for prime. Never understood that. Someone that gets clipped by Gamboa is not a shoe in for beating Manny Pacquiao….

I say this being a HUGE fan of Bud.

Crawford wouldn't beat Mayweather but let's be honest...............there aren't a lot historically that would. He'd also have a really hard time with Cotto (that's a legit 50/50 fight) but again Cotto is a HOF'er and borderline ATG (I personally think he is). However, Crawford would dominate Maidana and Pac stylistically. He'd beat Maidana worse than Devon Alexander did (Maidana's most lopsided loss). And Pac would lose to him in the same manner that he really lost all 4 to Marquez.

I think Crawford you can probably sit down at WW or JWW and he'd be competitive at any point in history. He's far better than Tank (who I'm a fan of) and he's Inoue's and Usyk's equal. Neither of them are heads/tails over him.

I can’t believe anyone thought he stood a chance with Mayweather or pacquiao. Only one I can see him beating is maidana.

disagree about pac. He struggles with awkward styles and even before madrimov, Shawn porter showed this. He just didn’t have the conditioning to make it all 12 since he wasn’t even a full time boxer anymore and didn’t take it as seriously. Also you’re really acting like he got dominated 4 times when they were all super close fights (4th was still close prior to getting caught) where majority thought he won the first 2 and lost the last 2. I agree about maidana though. But pac and mayweather beat him comfortably. Cotto wins in a close competitive fight

I actually believe Marquez beat him comfortably all 4 times, the 4th fight actually being the one where Pac looked the best IMO. Crawford uses the swivel jab a lot which is extremely effective on southpaws (funny because Pac uses the same jab a lot and had Cotto in Hell with it). He's longer and physically stronger than Pac. He's also as effective on the backfoot as he is on the front foot. Pac has just as many problems with those types as he gives problems to those types. Pac that beat Cotto would be the best version of Pac that would have the greatest chance, but I personally wouldn't favor him.

As for Porter, Porter is rough for everyone, Crawford in particular because I'm pretty sure Porter is the only person that he fought that was physically stronger than him. He's just a tough out for everybody.

How about a prime 140lb Moseley vs Crawford? What's your verdict in this match?

The kid moves up in weight, beats arguably the best guy in the division, and criticism and complaints is the response from some corners??

Geezus....boxing fans are a fickle bunch.

And yet Pac had what.. 7 or 8 official losses?

Yes, he was exceptional P4P but he did also lose to several of the best in his era (Floyd, Morales, JMM, etc).

Pac was undoubtedly a great fighter and a great icon for the sport, but let's not pretend he was quite that good.

I think saying it’s hard to give anyone more than a 50% shot against him is fair! That’s not saying I think he beats every body, and I may have been exaggerating a bit saying “anyone”.

But my point being - I wouldn’t say Crawford definitely beats him, and I’ve seen that a lot. I wouldn’t even say he’s very comparable to Marquez outside of the fact that they’re both effective counter punchers.

If anything, neither guy ever fought against anyone who was very similar to the other.

    100%.
Overcoming adversity is a feather in Crawford cap to me…. Not a mark against him. He’s great and a rightful top 3 p4p.

I have him at 2, and see little to no reason Inoue is rated higher by so many to be completely honest… but we’re splitting hairs at that point, all these guys are great!
