No kidding. Its annoying enough I have to watch fights that should be shown in HD on a premium network here on cut rate streams instead.

I dont think he deserved it to be honest. Mainly because I think the gamboa win was more to do with Crawfords size advantage rather than boxing ability. Crawford is massive for the weight as it is and then someone coming up from superfeather I dont think it was a massive victory.

They jumped the gun a bit, didn't they?

Basically what they're saying is that even with, say, a KO1 of Narvaez in a week, Inoue stood no chance of being considered for getting the nod. Which is silly.

U.S. Boxing media has no stake in the outcome and they don't bother pretending otherwise.

You'll never see a FOTY elected that networks and promoters here can't cash in on.

The award itself is devalued a bit because there are deserving candidates who will never win it because of circumstances outside their control.

Ring Magazine had a FOTY winner as being Mayhar Monshipour Vs Somsak Sithchatchawal it seemed that we were at the beginning of something...then they all went backwards and started sucking themselves off again :(

US/UK Boxing media shouldn't be regarded regionally it should be BOXING MEDIA

It was a straight flush, don't know why people couldn't see that. Walters was one fight short. Kovalev was a can crusher. Yeah, Hopkins was a can, just a smart can.

Lots of fan boys :|:|:| YDSKAB! Crawford was my #1 choice.

GGG was my 2nd choice. No problem there if he was chosen.

Kovalev beat a FIFTY year old. Hardly an accomplishment.

Pac fought a retread in Bradley and an ESPN fighter kept in his cage for most of the fight. Even the public didn't buy into the Algieri mismatch. PPV really bad.

    I'd have gone with kovalev.

Crawford needs to beat Vazquez too become number 1 at 135

Vazquez was the man and the only reason he isn't now is because he got robbed

You pick the weight, you make the weight.... The fight is on. These BS excuses as size advantage. Guess what, smaller fighters win all the time.

Good to see new names like Crawford getting the props they deserve, other than pac, Floyd and the old guys.
