Again, what Hank did back then was remarkable but, like in all sports, people have gotten better. He wouldnt have been able to do now what he did then...nobody can do that now. Fighters are just better today. Some of the ELITES from the past are as good or better than the ELITES today (like Ali, Robinson, SRL, etc.) but I dont see Armstrong having the success today he had then. And I'm far from an expert on Armstrong...only fighter from pre-Ali that would still dominate today was Robinson for me

I think it's obvious. It does nothing whatsoever for Crawford to fight Spence at any weight. He beat him so badly at 147 that 154 would be a pointless risk. He would probably obliterate him easier at 154, which would gain him no credit as everyone would cry that Spence was shot.

On the flipside, if he can jump up 3 weights to fight Canelo, it's a win/win situation, providing he doesn't suffer an early knockout he would go down as an all time great. A close competitive loss against the man at 168 would be unimaginable for nearly every 147 fighter ever, yet a win puts him into the stratosphere.

 

Waste of time for Bud. He's talking about fighting Canelo at 168 for 3rd undisputed title...or against Jermell for 3 belts at 154. Either of those fights sell BIG (assuming Bud fights the winner).

You know what DOESNT SELL??? Rematching Spence. Fight was too 1-sided. Only the Errolsexuals would buy it in prayer their idol Errol doesnt get landslided again

They made a deal after the first fight. Loser gets to decide if they rematch and winner gets to pick weight. Seems fair as they both spent a lot of time at the WW limit. Asking Crawdad to drop his belts to give a rematch no one really wants to see comes at a price. Crazy to think Spence is going to pony up to get abo to er beating but that’s boxing. Spence probably beats every welter not named Crawford.
