I wouldn't give a **** if he sold 5 ppvs, Arum knows what he's doing. Nobody in the top 10 pfp can sell ppvs except Canelo.
Technically...but, still poor. Crawford does not get anywhere NEAR the hype of GGG, from HBO. And who the hell knows Postol? I'm surprised it even did 50K. Lemieux is huge in Canada. And easily more popular than Postol here in the states. Their fight should be expected to do better on PPV. Not to mention, both guys are KO artists. But, it didn't do THAT much better. That's my point. I think GGG has a better style and the marketing for PPV. But, Crawford will do much better than 50K if he is in there with the right name (s). Who really cares, though? I would rather see both these guys under the PBC banner, so more people can see them on TV. It's shameful to not have budget to get such a significant fight, like Crawford vs Postol, on regular HBO. Guys demanding the network front them for **** people don't want to watch. You want to be paid millions you better be selling the product people want to watch. If you think you are worth the millions , they put you on PPV, and when no one watches you, it's hard to justify paying you millions. It's kinda like market correction.
It did double to triple, depending on what part of the range you'd like to choose from, and that was against significantly tougher sports competition (Cubs-Mets playoff game, ND-USC college football). That said, more buys were also necessary as that was a more expensive card to show.
In reference to the OP...smarta$$. Did I not mention the OP in my original post? You are indeed missing something. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
It is ****en hilarious seeing GG and Crawford fans talk about their guys ppv fights and neither fight belonged on ppv. Whites and blacks sticking with their own. I guess lol. Love it lmfao...
The thing is...if this were on reg hbo the viewership numbers would have done fine ....a monthly subscription fee with movies and programming at about 12 bucks a month vs paying 50-60 for one night and one main event.....Crawford does fine on reg hbo and this is where that fight belonged...aND if u go back and look at threads from when this was announced everyone knew that and said it It's on ppv because that's where it had to go based on hbos budget constraints .....if Crawford went around this fight and fought a bum his haters would kill him for it...so he manned up and beat the boogeyman easily and now u losers wanna kill him for low ppv buys....lol It's simple to understand.....but ur here throwing around wall st jargon like "market correction" trying to sound smart ...like u just watched the big short or wall st 2....., idiot
You don't care but you have to shut that OP up when he's actually, technically correct. Butthurt much?
If the numbers are true, Crawford better start acting racist and beating up a few women in his Imidiate circle. Americans love a black villain and bud is just too normal and reasonable.
That figure (150k) did not include Canadian ppv buys. I bought it and I know many other EE guys that bought it.
How can you...in this day and age argue with Pacquiao and Povetkin fans about Crawford and boxing!!!??? :dead
You are quite dense. I responded to the OP in reference to the topic being discussed. In addition, I stated my belief that neither fight was PPV worthy, HBO should have the budget to show the significant match ups, and that PBC is the better platform for both these fights/fighters, until PPV is justifiable. You responded to me to try and defend GGG...and those laughable PPV numbers. Quite predictable, actually. If I am butthurt, then your a$$ is on fire. Agenda much? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
