Lol...I know. But, these losers never give up. Need to be slapped around, from time to time. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
Actually I don't know what GGG's PPV numbers are. And if you had a brain, that would mean I'm indifferent to GGG. See this guy knows the numbers, which only highlights your BS. Thus you are seriously butthurt to make your point and ***** it along the way.
:good. You're arguing with Peril and Smoking lol. That's a ****en no no, but I understand lol. I had to check on you doe...
These guys desperately wanna defend 97k and think this is their validation ...."look colored fighter did 50k fu floyd" Everyone knew this fight didn't belong on ppv....and many told ggg fans that his lemieux fight didn't either ....but they insisted it would do well and that he was the next ppv king and he was gonna take over for floyd They fail to remember who they presented golvkin as the next ppv start and king...and when he bombed, like sane people knew he would, they took heat Now they desperately want to be validated .....but it's not working
I agree, a lot of fighters want millions of dollars per bout, and they have absolutely zero fans outside of their home towns.
Crawford wanted x amount because that's what he's been getting to fight on hbo....and the viewership numbers have been fine for him on hbo .... They don't have the budget at hbo to sustain and keep guys like him paid what they have been It's like paying him 50 bucks a fight for 2-3 years then saying "we had to cut back man can't pay unto fight postol...your biggest fight yet we could maybe do 30 bucks"....u don't tell someone their worth something and tell them you've had to cut back when he sees other guys getting that money elsewhere
Nobody liked Floyd at first either. Floyd had to be a three weight champion with 14 title fights beating Hernandez, Corrales, and Castillo before a draw (Arturo Gatti, the A side to Floyd's B side) would agree to get in the ring with him for a pay per view that only did 350k buys. Floyd didn't do better than 350k until he fought De La Hoya. In contrast, Bud Crawford has fought at two weights, in seven title fights, and beaten Gamboa and Postol. This opportunity was too soon.
Especially if you recall that Lemieux is a big name in canada, especially Montreal, which further increased that fights total earnings. Crawford fight did not have much help from outside the US, as Postol isn't a household name among ukranian fans.
Pointless to compare since both GGG and Crawford's PPV failed to live up to their expectations. Fights like this should NEVER be on PPV. We knew the Crawford/Postol fight was going to flop before it happened.
Yup....and honestly I think most of us knew ggg lemieux wasn't gonna do great either ....but there's a delusional sect of his fans that said he was the next ppv king and taking over for floyd...., and people gave them **** for it because they brought it in themselves ....now they are seeking validation
I was just thinking how Donaire has fought in six different weight classes and fought in 14 title fights and has never had a pay per view.
True but Floyd's attitude polarised people and in turn people turned in whether they loved him (MVC and Pimp C) or whether they loathed him and wanted to see him lose (C.J). Plus I cant see where the big name fight is that could propel him to the mainstream like as you say DLH did for Floyd. Totally agree that the PPV was too soon for TC.
The future for him would be a lot more positive if he didn't make it such a boring event. That will leave a negative impression on the casual fan whom would be buying the bulk of the PPVs because the reality is that the diehard boxing fan is a rarity.
