Crawford PPV Numbers in: ONLY 5,000 SOLD

Yeah Crawford is in a terrible spot right now. On the downside of his prime, absolutely ZERO marketability, no promoter, etc. You look at guys like Boots Ennis or Vergil Ortiz...why would either of those guys even fight him right now? Crawford's risk/reward profile is abysmal. He is still hella dangerous but brings nothing to the table, literally nothing, financially. He is way too old now to build his marketabilty up. There is a reason Bob didn't fight too hard to keep him. He says he lost money on almost every fight.

Crawford knows himself he isn’t marketable, he doesn’t do any self promotion at all. He deserves this if true. I can’t remember seeing this guy fight frequently at all, nothing meaningful when he decides to fight either. Now that he’s dead in the water, he will fight one last easy fight and retire.

Think about it man if Crawford made 10 mil up front and the PPV flopped then everyone else lost their shirts why would anyone wanna mess with Crawford ever again.

 

And he did squat in marketing the bout. People who invest in a boxing match expect the guys to do interviews podcasts etc. Crawford did nothing.

 

As we are on the 6th page discussing 5k ppv buys. Has anyone actually found a source for this?

If it came from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, why is there only two mentions without a link, the same post even, in Reddit and Sherdog boxingforum.

This is what happens when you pay a no name fighter (internationally) far too much money. Crawford refuses to bolster his identity as a household name, does nothing to hype up fights and instead leaves a sour taste with his constant complaints online.

At this point, I don’t see Crawford/Spence ever being made. Other than a solid match up (not enough for the casual consumer), what does Crawford bring to the table?

Spence could fight Broner at this point and make more $ and generate more PPV buys…

 

Who was the genius who thought that a fighter who is nearing the end of his career and has total of 350K ppv buys was worth a 10 mil payday?

 

lol the Pacquiao Triller card is what was ridiculous. You couldn't even full screen the **** lol. Had to mess around in the cable box settings to get some sort of rotten zoom that wasn't quite full screen and ****ed with the resolution quality lol. Then the judging was brutal and the referee in the Paquiao fight was as corrupt as they come.

 

I just can't take to Crawford. I have only watched one or two of his fights fully. I just lose interest in his style real quick.
