Nothing left for Crawford to achieve there.. Some decent fights sure, but he should just move up to 147... There's where all of the money and big fights are. Plus if he wants to enhance his legacy further that's the best move.

There is nobody to fight at 140, he has to move up. Fans will get tired of his fighting bums like Indongo.............which was a set-up fight to make Crawford look good. Crawford should fight Spence fight, Thurman would knock him out and Porter would be his greatest nightmare. There are much better fighters at 147, they are not only bigger fighters, but more skilled. Indongo was a disgrace to boxing...............

    Another problem for boxing fans:

There's nothing at 140 for Mikey, either.

What's he going to do? Fight Postol and Indongo? Hardly exciting to most at the moment.

100% agree. Its not just the talent. There was reports of Taylor being seriously tough before he fought Davies. When he fought Davies he proved he can take a punch and fight up close as well as box from range. People who've trained beside Taylor like David Haye and other pro's have said JT's a serious weapon and as tough as nails. If this is truly the case then we have a potential elite level fighter on our hands. He still has a lot to prove and a few flaws that need ironed out but still he's hugely impressive after only 10 fights. It will be hard to replicate Bud Crawford but if anybody can in the division it's Josh Taylor. He switches stances fluently and comfortably like Crawford. He has a lot of positives to his game. He has a real fan friendly style that boxing fans are going to love. Slick and exciting.

Mikey Garcia just fought at 140lbs and has expressed interest in Crawford before. That is the only fight left for Crawford before he moves up to WW. If I were Arum, I'll be calling Garcia for a fighy ASAP. Very winnable fight for Crawford plus it only makes his resume better.

Crawford will stop Thurman if/when they meet.

Pinpoint body puncher too to boot...Landing uppercuts inside was killing Ohara Davies

Yeah, OD wobbled from Taylors jab in the third because Taylor had put OD on weak legs due to earlier body shots. JT's up close right uppercut to the body is tremendous. He faints and parry's a lot as well which is kinda old school. It was epecially classy the way he was parrying OD's wild swings while on the move in the 7th before the knock down. Not what you'd normally see from a modern era UK prospect.

can bud make weight healthy? if so stay at 140. the mikey garcia fight is huge. it might be able to be done above 140 so everyone will make weight fine. or for all the marbles at 140. there isnt a better fight at 147 for bud .

bud vs garcia is the fight we should be demanding. man mikey garcia has alot of options to pursue its really up to him and also promotions an all that bs might be difficult.

Tune up at 147 then big fight with Pac is my guess. Maybe Horn if Horn wins the Pac rematch.

Though I'd like to see Crawford v Garcia for everything at 140 personally.

The only reason crawford should stay at 140 is for Mickey Garcia. Otherwise no money and big fights for him at 140. He is at a stage now he needs to make serious money and he will go to 147. Its business sense Top Rank have been priming crawford for a PPV.

People calling for him to go up to WW are gonna be the reason he loses,
He absolutely will not walk through everyone at WW. WW the top level
specifically are so filled with athletic studs it's insane. He is goin to
go up to a division where there are actually guys just as athletic and some
just as highly skilled and are naturally much larger. He's gonna get hurt.

Stick around for a year, take the mandatory vs Lipinets to maintain all 4 belts, then go for Mikey in 2018. That's a big fight and the right one to leave the division on.

I rate Bud as the best at 140 by a long shot, but beating Indongo does not mean he's cleared it out. Rack up 2-3 more defenses first, then give the welterweights the business.
