To wit... Sexy was old and one-legged and the Lineal Champion. Spence was a unified 3 belt holder, but had been pile-driven into the pavement by his Ferrari and lost all his teefs and then he showed up drained-to-smithereens in the Bud fight.
Judgin by the comments 4 the last 3 weeks I would say that tbud ko has got these posters dripping wettt
Crawford over Spence by miles. Martinez was the every definition of cashing out that night. Despite holding all the leverage he succumbed to every demand just to make the fight happen. Martine was old, had been dropped heavily by Chavez and arguably lost to Murray. He was then inactive for 14 months. Lastly the fight was at a catchweight. Now don't get me wrong, Martinez was the one to beat for Cotto if he wanted to be a MW champion. Martinez was the man I expected to win that fight. Martinez was the man of the division. That being I said I didn't realise how injured Martinez's knees were and it was obvious by the limited movement during the fight. I hate being captain hindsight so I'll always credit Cotto for this victory, but it's not as meaningful as Crawford's was.
Man! I’m a big Cotto fan. He’s one of the first boxers that I started watching when I really got into boxing, but I was rooting hard for Martinez that night! So maybe I’m a little biased, but I remember Sergio was actually starting to come on in those last rounds before his corner stepped in.
Sergio's legs were gone man, sad to see him that way, he most likely just took the fight for the purse.
