Magnificent performance from Crawford and finally a career defining win for him too. Shame it wasn't a closer match up once it came to it but think it proves that Crawford would always have his number. Not sure a rematch is worthwhile really. Can see Crawford clearing out 154 too if he wants to.
When boxing fans will learn? Heavyweight champ give up 10kg to Usyk two times. People say this same things. Crawford Spence closer, and look...
Fell asleep on the sofa so just caught up with the full fight on Youtube. It was a total one sided beatdown, it reminded me of when a young unbeaten imperious Canelo came up against Floyd only to discover that there is an extra secret level that they've yet to unlock. 1st KD was weird, kinda like half chin, half shoulder. 2nd and 3rd KDs were beautiful and executed with violent precision. Bud is on a different level to everyone at 147. Would love to see him fed and then brutally dismantle Benn. Gotta feel sorry for Inoue who's status as #1 P4P lasted around 4 1/2 days. To quote the Rocky film "Ain't gonna be no re-match".
this fight was very similar to Tuesday’s fight. both Inoue and Crawford put in perfect perfromances, but their opponents looked clueless and ill-prepared right from the start. neither had a moment’s success in the fight, and it wasn’t all down to their rival’s greatness. at least we’ve now separated the real elite from the pretenders
how? perceived lesser opponents have had success against them - Kavalauskas cracked Bud on the chin and dropped him, while Donaire gave Inoue a permanent quizzical expression by breaking his eye socket. even Paul Butler lasted 11 by doing backwards laps around the ring. both Fulton and Spence lacked any kind of gameplan right from round 1
