A black American is a bigger draw in America than a white Ukranian?

    Shock.

How? He didn't have a positive or negative impact if he's not known.

You're hugely missing the point here. Why didn't an olympic heavyweight medallist have any impact on boxing? It's a promotional disgrace that the US boxing scene should be embarrassed about.

David Price for all his faults got plenty of TV time and exposure in the UK after somewhat anonymously winning a bronze medal.

An Olympic medallist having no positive impact, is a negative impact.

He did once he fought Harrison. The thing is Wilder started boxing late! So really his first 20 fights were more of amateur fights for him.

No. It's no impact. Wilder had a massive impact on American boxing once he fought Harrison. Remember Wilder is a LATE starter, so his first 20 fights were to prepare him. They were basically amateur fights.

No it's a neutral state. It's not difficult to understand that you can have a positive, neutral, or negative one. It was a neutral one.

    "Wilder is a late starter".

He can't use this excuse when there is a HW in his division which is even more of a 'late starter', yet was KOing ATGs in his first 20 fights.

Stay am then and get those fights in quickly. And/or travel for good sparring and get that rep built. He got it all wrong IMO.

Nah. AM's is no good. Yes you can turn out like Loma or you can turn out like the majority of these late starters. A waste of talent and being used to the amateur style. Fighting pro with no headgear and with pro-rules is better.

Well if the AM scene is no good then why on his lack of it? He could of got himself up to speed if you can say that about an Olympic medalist a lot quicker than he did by getting himself work in America's abundance of top gyms.

His route was perfect for him. It worked out. You just wanted him to lose.
