Could Crawford do a Duran and move up to 168?

    Height: Both are 5ft 8
    Reach: Crawford 74 & Canelo 70.5

crawford is a talented guy. well trained, never out of shape, focused on his craft, but 168 might be too much for him. canelo and benevitez wins this one.

Duran was completely finished when he went up to 168, though. 160 might be Crawford's ceiling.

    FFS !

Bud won a fight we'd all been itching to see and in doing so, set himself above anyone else in the CURRENT welterweight scene.

But try to keep things in perspective.

Everybody seems to have gone cuckoo over what was undoubtedly a great performance.

    And it was.

    But....

Very next day we have posters claiming that Bud would beat any version of Floyd or Pac.

    Talk about going overboard.

It's not even clear he would prevail over those guys leftovers.

It would be interesting, if it were possible, to see Bud fight Oscar of 2007 or the Shane of 2009 or the Maidana of 2013 or the Alvarez of 2013 or the Cotto of 2012.

    Or Margarito from 2010.

It's far from certain Bud could go undefeated over that raft of possibles, much less defeated the best versions of Floyd and Pac.

And now, to cap it off, some are discussing Canelo, not the greener version of 2013, but the current version who defeated Plant and was somewhat competitive with the best or second best LHW of recent times.

    Just WTF ???

Time to calm the **** down, and quit putting utterly unrealistic expectations on the Omaha lad.

Let him enjoy his three division (two undisputed ) glory for a while.

Next thing we'll see a thread wondering how he would fare against Usyk.

No chance does he beat Canelo at 168
He's obviously much better p4p, but he would get smashed

It's like inoue if he went to 135 to fight tank. Again much better, but His head would be deposited in Mars

    Way too much weight

168 v Canelo would prove a few steps too far.

After I send Charlo to the retreat... could he take some time to send Terence to the retreat?

I would love to see it and wouldn't write Bud off.
Canelo is slow footed and relies on body movement not foot speed.

Bud is super lean at 147 and appears to want to move up to 154 asap.

Give Bud a couple at 154 then the jump wont be so big.

Despite age I think Bud is the fresher looking fighter
