He just hurt and stopped a strong guy in his first fight at ww. Im sure he hits hard enough. Hes only going to get stronger as he becomes more accustomed to the weight class. Too early to judge his power but so far so good. You dont need instant ko power you just need enought to hurt a guy. Do you think there is a guy in the division he cant hurt? Im pretty sure he can.
Crawford was eating a lot of leather when he was fighting Gamboa out of southpaw. Crawford isn't as efficient with his offense when he fights as a southpaw and his right jab is slower than his left jab, which is why Gamboa was outjabbing him. However, whenever he was fighting out of conventional stance Gamboa was barely landing on Crawford and Gamboa was eating check hooks and struggling to get inside. Looking back now If Crawford would stayed conventional the whole fight it would've been much less competitive and Crawford would've ended much earlier. Against lower quality competition like Horn and Diaz Crawford can fight as a southpaw all day, but against elite talent like Thurman or Garcia his timing when he fights as a southpaw doesn't cut it. He fought Indongo as a southpaw and was able to outbox him, but I doubt Crawford could do that against an elite southpaw like Spence.
most check hooks gamboa took were right hook i dont know what fight you saw mate you must be mistaking Crawford fougth the first 2 rounds righty and was losing then switched to southpaw and barely came back to orthodox here and there to land some suprise shot(very effective tough)
