Jaron has a better chance than you think

He's a switch hitter, possess a height advantage, just as athletic if not more athletic than Crawford, and likes to fight on the outside, which may pose problems

For now i favor Crawford, as he's more proven, has superior defense, and has far more power in both hands. I think it's an interesting fight though

Boots got hit way too often against Villa for my liking. Isn't he supposed to be this slick defensive wizard?

Crawford hits harder than Villa and is more accurate, not to mention way more brutally vicious. Crawford wins this now, but with the rematch most likely to happen next, Ennis may have some time to age him out and even it up.

I definitely agree, but Crawford isn't getting any younger

It’s not that Ennis is a defensive wizard, he just gets hits way less than you’d expect with all the combos and wide hooks he throws. I think it would be close based on the fact that Ennis doesn’t seem to be discouraged by clean hits. He’s always happy to throw hard shots non stop until he’s taken you out. I notice that Bud’s opponents all get more and more discouraged as they fight him, but I doubt that’ll happen to Ennis.

Boots has a chance, but I think Bud beats him UD.

I hope this fight happens before Crawford moves to 154. Good fight with a game young challenger. I like Boots but this would be a huge step up for him. Bud is levels above anyone Boots has ever faced and is still prime.

When Crawford brutally knocks this guy out, the same people saying Boots has a legit chance of winning will be the first ones saying Boots was too young and inexperienced to face a killer like Crawdad. They will say it was what they expected. I still hope it happens but it might have to happen at 154 because Bud is moving on up.

Right after the Crawford fight I thought this was a mismatch, but on further thought I agree with those who say Boots has a chance. I wouldn't pick him of course, but as per the OP, he has some chance not none.

I don't rate Ennis that highly, he's just a welter version of the Charlo's, has size, speed, power and general athleticism, but skills are lacking. I think Bud KO's him.

Boots has the full package, a varied arsenal of offensive weapons, speed, excellent chin, stamina and can fight with either hand out front. The only thing he lacks is seasoning. That's Crawfords only edge. It's a fight that Boots must persue, even if he has to go to 154. When Crawford and Spence leaves, there will be no one at 147 to really challenge him and the belts won't mean as much as beating the man , which is Crawford. If he hangs around to get all the belts at 147, Crawford and Spence will be gone. However, Tszyu will be there and that will most likely be the next great rivalry.

It makes more sense for Crawford to move upto 154 at this point in his career,he even admits making 147 is a struggle. Imo there is also nothing left for Crawford at WW so surely the move up a division is now the obvious choice and chase Undisputed once more then retire. If Ennis is to fight Crawford at some point I think it will be up at the higher weight and I’d be very surprised if it was at WW .
