Crawford has longer reach than Mayweather. Mayweather would have to come to him, not the other way around

Damn right. Floyd would have avoided Crawford as if he had the Bubonic plague. The greatest ducker in boxing history would have never faced Crawford until someone else beats him or he was over the hill.

Nope. Bud is a killer, he wouldn’t wait around for 12 rounds trying to bait someone in who wouldn’t take the bait. He wouldn’t have that sort of discipline with the mindset he has. He would have to come to Floyd to get his shots off and would just get countered and lose a decision. We all love Bud, but keep it realistic.

He wouldn't need to bait, he can just keep Mayweather at the end of his range and pick him apart. Mayweather would need to reach in to land his shots and probably end up eating a Crawford uppercut after overextending

No. Crawford throws his jab from a southpaw stance moving forward. He rarely throws it static or moving off on an angle. Thats a recipe for a pullback counter all day. If he fought Mayweather orthodox then he would be at even more of a disadvantage. Bro please put some thought into this little debate, when have you ever seen Mayweather follow someone around the ring and be kept at bay with reach? Do you really think a fighter with Floyd’s IQ is going to fight Crawfords fight? Come back with something good or I cant debate you lol

Floyd stans need to realise Crawford is super skilled AND dangerous, Floyd was only the former.

Your argument ends here because Mayweather had arm length advantage against every single one of his opponents at welter, including ODLH who had a listed one inch wingspan advantage but shorter arm length.

He has never faced someone like Crawford who has 74 inch reach at this weight class

Every single person that beat Maidana had trouble against him (except oddly Devon Alexander) and he beat up consistently normally very durable boxers. I promise Crawford would struggle against him too. Crawford would win, but he would definitely have problems. Maidana is a mauler, all elite boxers struggle against maulers that you can't anticipate.

    Original question:
Even older Floyd would beat Crawford. The version of Floyd that beat Canelo would pick Crawford apart. I don't understand why people will watch someone be successful against one style then swear and exclaim they'll beat someone with a totally different style. Crawford is phenomenal, Floyd even aged was sublime. He shouldn't even have been as good as he was at WW and JMW, not at his age, and yet he was

Crawford vs the PBF version woulda been something to see. That's a closer fight, Money version wouldn't allow Crawford to hit him enough to win.

    PBF wins.
    Money loses.

I'm thinking it's the other way around but I don't think Floyd loses to him. Could be wrong tho

Zab Judah took the first 4 rounds against Mayweather. Judah is nowhere near as good as Crawford, Judah had faster hands but technically he was not good. His ring IQ was really bad, Judah got by on talent. But the southpaw stance gave Floyd issues and so would Crawford.

I'll take Crawford here but I'll say I don't think it would be a very good fight to watch. Mayweather is low volume and I also think Crawford would fight cautiously as well because he would have a hard time landing on Mayweather. However, I still think Crawford would land more shots on Floyd and would win a competitive decision in a boring fight.

Of course, Mayweather would never fight him so it's all a moot point but I would back Crawford in that matchup. Floyd never fought anyone in his career with Bud's skillset (and for good reason).

He has significantly less power and is way worse of a combination puncher. He's not as long or as strong (most probably). Definitely would not look like Crawford vs Spence
