How come there isn't much buzz about this fight ?

Will Gamboa's rust catch up to him is Crawford to slick for him ?

    Who wins this ?

Its because of Gamboas rust issue why people arent talking about this. How can you get buzz if you dont have a following. How can you hold a following if you dont fight?

Crawford has the charisma of a pickle.

    So.....yeah

If Gamboa actually trains and comes with a gameplan he wins easy . Gamboa is a great fighter and athlete just lacks the discipline

Gamboa has the talent to come out on top.. I don't know what happened to him but he should have already beat Rios way back then and got into the mix with Provodnikov, Marquez, Bradley and Pacquiao..

Where was he these past few years? :huh

No buzz because Gamboa only fights once every 18/24 months and Top Rank hasnt promoted crawford at all! GB would be hyping crawford like crazy and getting him ready to fight Garcia for a small super fight.

    Top Prank sucks!!

win, lose or draw...gamboa should do everything in his power to get out of his contract with 50.

this is a bad come back fight for gamboa. he is going to be trying to knock off ring rust with a slick/accurate fighter in crawford.

i'm leaning towards crawford by decision. let's see what happens.

I agree 100% with the 50 cent thing. I feel 50 has RUINED two very promising fighters careers in their absolute prime. Dirrell and Gamboa were both aiming to be superstars, yet 50 and his "I made vitamin water so I can promote boxing" attitude left both of those guys in purgatory.

Sucks because Gamboa when active was something spectacular to watch. He was exciting because absolutely ANYTHING could happen in one of his fights. He never lost, but his all out aggression and precise combos were AWESOME to watch, and he would get tagged at times so you always had to be watching. He seems super conservative now. Hell I remember reading something where Solis was talking about how even sparring pacquiao he didnt fear his power and speed like he did Gamboa.

.....Dirrell annoys the hell out of me and deserves his inactivity. So whatever.

    Also...

I am sticking with Gamboa to beat Crawford by tko. A motivated Yuri will come out and show us who he really is.

50 Cent is bad for boxing.

I think Gamboa is faster, more talented. But when you only fight once a year at top level you might be building up some ring rust. Who knows maybe he is in the gym a lot still even though he hasn't been in a fight in a year.

The reason this fight isn't getting buzz is cause both guys aren't really appealing to casual fans. I am personally really excited this fight has been made though. It should be great in terms of boxing skills displayed.

I do think if Gamboa has trained hard and is in shape, he will win.
