I have explained before I do not dislike all Aussie fighters. I get behind Lucas Browne, Kamboses Jnr, Lenny Z & Mundine. I was a fan of Katsidis & Paul Briggs in their day. Guys like Horn, Green & Geales I don't like I don't by their nice guy act and the Aussie media gives them a pass for things they wouldn't let other fighters get away with. I also find the corruption and poor officiating in Australian boxing disgusting.
I reckon Horn would beat Wlad cause Wlad fought nothing but bums (including AJ) and the division was weak...
Khan is a bit more interesting than you're implying here. He has that chin problem, but in boxing skill terms, he's second only to Spence at 147 (and possibly as good or better than Spence.) He has been denied fights against the two best welters of this century even though both 'promised' him a shot. When he did get a shot against the much bigger Canelo, he completely outboxed him till the Canelo power and the Khan chin combined to bring proceedings to an abrupt close. I'm pretty sure he would have lost to both Floyd and Pac, but he would have been a better opponent for Floyd than was Berto or Connor, and a better opponent for Pac than Algieri or Vargas.
Never said he wasn't interesting. Brook, Peterson, Matthysse, Pac, Rios and DeMarco are interesting as well, but all have clearly seen their best days. They are to a man all either old enough (and/or have copped enough damage) that a revitalized second wind in their careers getting back on top over the likes of Thurman/Spence/Crawford or even Garcia/Vargas/Porter would at this point be rather stunning.
Horn can fight his ass off. Guys who can fight their asses off are always live dogs. Crawford should be favored, but I don't think that it's gonna be a walk in the park for him. Horn will be 165+ pounds, ready to make it an extremely rough and dirty affair, and will do anything to win.
We haven't seen much of him lately, but I think that of the crew you listed (other than perhaps Pac, who is in a different league career wise) Khan would be the most dangerous opponent for a Thurman or a Spence.
I'd agree, but would still be very surprised if he enjoyed a significant renaissance in 2018/19. (perhaps the least surprised of the rest of the bunch save Pac, but still)
I think he's saying Khan might steal a few early rounds a`la Canelo. That I can definitely see. Thurman he might even win 4-5 in the first half. But sooner or later both Thurman and Spence put the "black church folk" dancin' spirit in him. Khan will do his best impersonation of a bunch of southern Baptists somewhere after the halfway mark at the latest.
