Terrance Crawford is the new up an comer with a lot of expectations and has so far shown and proved.... Lamont Peterson has faced very decent competition with mixed success. Has been knocked out but has a high ring IQ and loads of experience. Personally I think he beat Garcia CLEARLY! but as boxing goes you take ya L and ya paycheck and hopefully redemption is in your future.... This is not easy but....who wins this?
I like Peterson as well...I think his boxing skills and ring I.q is massively underrated by this forum...if Crawford does win this...it'll be the biggest test of his career to date..imo
Great fight. Not sure if Crawford has enough experience to overcome Peterson. After the Garcia robbery, I think Peterson would come in very motivated.
I'm actually clamoring for this fight to be made. I doubt Lamont goes back to 140lbs though. I think he'd give Crawford everything he wants. Lamont can box going forward or back, can pressure and while not a big puncher is a very strong guy physically. I also believe Lamont is a bad style matchup for Floyd as well.
Yeah, that would be an excellent fight. I don't think that Peterson would have any problem making the 140 weight. He fought Danny at 143 so down three pounds shouldn't be a problem. I also would like to see Peterson rematch Lucas M. Crawford and Peterson is a pickem fight for me. I would have to watch a couple of rounds before I could make a judgement on the outcome.
A Crawford KO here would be extremely impressive Petersen to me lost all of his big fights, Khan though he impressed and Garcia despite beating him up later he gave away like the first 7 or 8 rounds... He was destroyed by Lucas and dominated by Bradley Crawford I think should win but I doubt this is easy. I wonder if he will get Petersen to fight a cautious fight at Crawfords usual pace
