Like most I'd prefer to see a Crawford-Postol unification fight, its a much more meaningful fight then Crawford-Provodnikov. That being, I like a possible Crawford-Provodnikov match up. Crawford should be a clear favorite but Provodnikov will pressure Crawford way more than anyone has and it would be interesting to see how/if Crawford deals with that. I think Crawford wins a wide decision in a fight with a lot of action but a Provodnikov win isn't that big of an upset. The Postol fight could always happen at the end of the year after Postol makes a defense or two and raises his profile.
It seems like you and the loser, boxing_master, are the fans that are doing most of the talking. I want to see Crawford fight Postol also but I am realistic enough to know that this fight won't happen until Arum is ready to make it.
You and all the idiots like you who enjoy calling top level fighters stupid names like "bum" or fraud... You people need to get a ****ing life.
Do you think that Arum doesn't have a say? Crawford's not stupid. He's probably making more money than he has dreamed of and he has seen what happens when one of Arum's fighters crosses him. If Postol gets "big" enough, it will be in Arum's interest to make the fight and it will then happen.
Provodnikov? The guy whose only relevant win was against Alvarado? The guy who leads all active fighters with Compubox tracking of opponent punches landed per round by a mile? That Provodnikov?
Would you match him with Postol if you were Arum? Kind of risky, I feel Bob wants Crawford to be the next face of Top Rank. Provo then maybe fight with Pac as passing the torch kinda fight.
His last 3 fights have been the sort of cupcake bouts that is "milking" the success he achieved in the 3 fights prior to those... Time to take it to the next level some time in 2016. Pac is retiring after April, so I'm guessing that Arum is hoping to match Crawford with Bradley late this year or early next year and have Crawford fight the Provodnikov or Algieri or Soto until then. A slow build up, I'm guessing. HBO doesn't seem to be in a rush with Alvarez, Golovkin, and Kovalev all being pushed into or lining up PPV slots to see who emerges the next star.
