Indeed competition went up since then, but he got a stoppage now (against a champ)...so he's only as good as his last fight. Indeed, I don't think Spence has super heavy hands or extraordinary power. More like Inoue, visibly you can just see he puts a lot of force behind his punches more so than the typical boxer. This was similar to his fights with Mickey and Danny Garcia. Like Danny was never a gun shy fighter, he happily traded blows against Thurman and Porter. But against Spence people were screaming at the tv for him to let his hands go, but didn't. I just think Spence's volume combined with his power punches naturally forces guy's into a defensive shell to avoid damage.
