Tito destroys Bud, and I'm a Crawford fan. Crawford is too hittable, and his chin wouldn't hold up to Trinidad's power.
Trinidad would beat him up. Tito was beating up sturdy JMW's and MWs with the same frame he had at WW so, I think he could stop him. You can't play those rough house games with Tito at WW. Even Oscar couldn't do that. I think Quartey may have been able to fight that way with Tito but that's it (of that era's guys). On top of that, Tito could actually showed he could do well against guys that tried to out duel him. (box, circled, moved, etc). Crawford's gonna press forward against Trinidad? Nah. Crawford's gonna push Trinidad backwards? Nah. Could he shut down his offense? Nah. Sidebar: Damn shame Tito and Quartey never fought
Outside of a KO trinidad gets schooled. Crawford can easily do what Oscar did but better as he showed vs Postol who also happens to be 5’11. Crawford would be more effective because he can fight much longer than Oscar despite being a bit shorter.
Man Trinidad was a thoroughbred. Tall, strapping welterweight with face melting power... and above all that, he knew how to win. Crawford might be an overall better fighter than prime DLH (maybe) but he couldn't box that same kind of fight that Oscar did. Tito stops Crawford mid to late.
I think Tito might win this fight but there's way too many here that think this would be a one sided fight.
Excellent analysis and great side bar. Tito vs Quartey would have been a brutal war of attrition for both them perhaps it was goid it did not happen. I think Tito would have won though of course I love my African brother Ike Quartey.
I don't think that Crawford has a weak chin but Tito power was wicked and maybe too much for my guy. Crawford skills wouldn't be enough. Tito was too big and strong for most welterweights with the exception of Hearns and Leonard level fighters.
I think judging by Oscar/Quartey, Tito likely would've as well. I think that fight was a big miss though.
Are you comparing Victor Postol to Felix Trinidad? LMAO! You can tell the posters on here who weren't around in Trinidad's prime.
Tito puts on a masterclass of defensive angels and slaps Crawford around. There are levels to this game. Yeah, sure Bud looks amazing defeating bums in Omaha but who exactly has he fought and beat anywhere NEAR Tito’s level?
