Although the best Whitaker was at lightweight, he still beats Crawford at 147. That being said, anyone who truly believes it would be 12-0 in rounds is fooling themselves or looking at the past through rose colored glasses. Whitaker, like all the other greats from the past, wasn't a god. As examples, Paez, McGirt and Rivera all took 4 or 5 rounds from him.

I'm not even sure welterweight Whitaker is better than Crawford. The reason he wins is that Crawford's premise is based on taking time in the early rounds to figure out the best way to beat his opponent. He gives away the early rounds because he is completely sure of himself. By the time he figures out there is no figuring out Sweet Pea it will be too late to make up ground. Whitaker 8 rounds to 4.

I think Crawford beats him. Crawford is better than the Oscar that beat Whitaker

Crawford is better than the Oscar that beat Whitaker, wouldn't you agree?

Whitaker was better at fighting in the pocket, just as good of a counterpunch, much better defense, and was much more athletic. It's really hard to rate Crawford because he hasn't been in there with a guy who is elusive or a guy who is a puncher. That's why I think his next two fights should be Ugas and Ortiz Jr.

I'm not sure Ortiz Jr. is quite ready for Crawford but he is definitely someone special.

Ortiz Jr. is the hardest puncher at WW. Crawford's chin will get tested and we will be able to see what he can do against a guy who has a great jab, elite power, and great at throwing combinations. Honestly, Ortiz Jr would be the best fighter Crawford ever faced imo

I can agree with that, The current version of Ortiz is better than the Porter from last weekend. He is also better than anyone Crawford fought at 140. By the same token, Crawford will be the best fighter Ortiz has faced by quite a margin. It would be a great fight.

No idea. Crawford is maybe the better finished but beyond that I cannot say.

    Oscar would’ve struggled against Porter

Arguably beat Whitaker. That was a close fight and Sweat pea was playing around too much.
