Crawford still has a subpar resume and comparing him with Sweet Pea requires a great deal of extrapolation. Bud has even struggled when he shouldn't have.

At this stage, Sweet Pea is too good.

Funny thing is, people look at Crawford with rose colored glasses now.

He gets praise as being pfp#1. For what? Oh wait, he unified a weak 140 about 89 years ago. His welters resume is trash. He’s mid 30s with no defining fights. But he’s praised as this great fighter who has done great things. Years ago I thought he would have had a great career. Then he kept fighting people that nobody cares to see.

Crawford is not a Whitaker. Not even close.
Whitaker started at lightweight and went all the way up to jr.middle.
Chavez,Mgirt, and Nelson trump anything Bud has done so far.

Buddy beat way better fighters then Porter.

Nelson is a two division champion.

 

Or Mayweather. His defense isn't on their level.

 

Let's be real, Porter would be the best name on Whitaker's resume.
