Crawford wants to unify 140 to be UNDISPUTED! Why the double standard for Bud?

The only money guy left at 140 is Broner and that fight will never happen. There's really no one worth a damn at 140 and after the Molina fight I think he should move up to bigger and better things at 147. With that said if Crawford wants to unify then so be it.

Clear double standard. Fans are full of ****. If Crawford can unify relatively quickly then he should do so.

Crawford is a beast. I sung his praises before the Postol fight. A lot of people did as well. Postol got little hype. He was touted as a tough fighter with a great jab but very few people were claiming he was a beast. Postol IS the type of guy who could expose people like Garcia though. He's an A- fighter in my book. I don't know why you're trying to make it out like Crawford has a hategroup following him like Broner and Mayweather though. The Postol fight left a bad taste in everyones mouth. He had Postol hurt and on the run from the early rounds and decided to dance and taunt like FMJ 2.0. Nobody wants to see that. They want to see more Gamboa vs Crawford fights. We want to see him go for the kill and take fighters out when he has them outclassed and hurt like he did versus Lundy. But Crawford didn't give. Granted that was only one fight and there was a lot on the line. I'm holding out on my opinion of Crawford for now though. He he goes back to his old self I'll start singing his praises again.

Loma is the first ever 2 weight world champion in under 7 fights, with every single fight other than his first being title fight/defenses, he's up against who most would consider elite, Walters, after knocking out a solid titleholder in Martinez and beating Russell Jr, fighting Salido too. Better than most of the names you mentioned.
Crawford however has fought nothing but who I consider bums and journeymen, and only one good fight against Postol and one mediocre fight against a LW Gamboa.

Having a belt doesn't really gauge how really good a fighter is nowadays and used more as negotiating tool more than ever. I think it's a win-win situation for Bud, but if he really indeed wants the bigger prize, wants more recognition than he should stop wasting time at 140. Even if he does unify, people won't give him the respect. He needs to stop waisting time there imo and let his presence be known at 147. Then the real fun begins and 147 will be stacked with alot of great potential fights. Bud is the real future of American boxing, Mayweather, Dirrell, Ward, and Broner in one way or another have laid a massive turd on boxing and they the reason why fans don't have interest and lost faith in the sport. Bud is the answer.

At the end of the day, it's his own prime he's spending. If he wishes to spend it on the Molina's, so be it but it's uninspiring.

"Uninspiring" sums it up quite nicely. Tho Molina always seems to be a live dog against anybody, if he couldn't figure Broner out, most likely he's not figuring out Crawford either. Too sloppy for a fighter like Crawford.

He already fought Burns - how can you duck someone if the guy already bested you? There's zero interest in that fight. Let Burns fight Broner - that's what I say.

To quote the Bumluvkinites, "but but but Molina is a top 10 ranked Middleweight(junior welterweight)."

At least Molina earned his top 10 ranking, unlike Curtis Stevens.

Broner doesn't want any of it. If Bud wants all the belts and if Burns is willing to go to Omaha and put his at stake, then so be it.

I'm a fan of Crawford despite his terrible boxing moniker. Maybe I'll tweet him 'Cold Blooded' to see if we can get that to gain traction...

Anyway... I'm happy for him to unify before moving up but can't really be bothered to watch him clown an overmatched Ricky Burns again. That wouldn't tell us anything that we don't already know.

It's a nothing fight. Burns wants to fight in Vegas. He wants to do it for big money. Why on earth would he go fight a guy who dominated him in Nebraska?

Honestly don't care about the spaghetti belts. Crawford is already the best in the division and lineal champion - fighting guys he's already proved are way below his level just so he can get another couple of straps just seems pointless.

Crawford should be pushing for fights with guys who actually matter at 147. Garcia, Thurman, Spence, Porter, Bradley even Pacquaio. How sad that he was seemingly in the running to fight Pac and now he's calling out guys he's already beaten.

The fight can happen in Vegas if Crawford wants it to. If Burns wants a crack at the man in the division who already beat him, he should have to take the fight wherever the champ wants to fight.
