...and did you get the impression he was giving it his all or looking anywhere near as motivated as usual?

At the end of the day Bob Arum knows boxing and if he thought Crawford could beat Postol that fight would happen next I can assure you

Name a thing Postol does better than Crawford. Just one.

Disagree. Crawford is superior..moreover, from EITHER stance.

...and lest you think I'm just irrationally anti-Postol or something or unwilling to give him any credit because of my feeling that Lundy entered with a sparring partner's mentality & gave that fight away more than Postol legitimately outclassed him at his best - I posted this eleven months ago (before Postol vs. Matthysse, and with Broner on a hot streak beating Molina, Taylor, & Molina Jr. and yet to lose to Porter):

    Crawford is no Broner, though.

    Jab
    Chin
Uses distance better but that's debatable

Whoever mentions Broner as a elite fighter doesn't know anything about boxing.

I had suspicions about Crawford very early on, before he became a star (or rather, worried that some of his defensive liabilities from his prospect days would get him in trouble as he stepped up in class) but at this point I've seen him against sufficiently good opposition to say my concerns have been abated. He makes brilliant mid-fight adjustments, both offensively and defensively, and seems to have a very sturdy chin to fall back on if need be.

Postol did get stunned by Matthysse in the seventh, just before the headbutt. To my knowledge has never been down, though, and was never bothered too much by anything from Corley, Aydin, Yvan Mendy, or Lundy over 47 rounds with those gents. So yeah, Postol's chin is probably grade-A certified mudbrick at this point too.

I can't stand the guy, and he may have achieved most of his success by cutting a bunch of weight and bullying smaller men, but the fact is that Broner is a 4-division champion and still in the mix at 140lb. :conf

    Yep same here.

Broner will always be remembered as the guy that lost 11 rounds to B level Porter. Lol

Yeah, and I don't rate Porter either myself, but to be fair neither Alexander nor Malignaggi did so hot against him either. Certain guys just found him completely perplexing stylistically and in terms of raw physical attributes, basic as he is.

Well, he isn't COMPLETELY devoid of ability (his poor man's Toney schtick worked for him, up to a point) but yeah, he did have it all his way for a long time.

Viktor will stand in the middle of the ring and jab the hell out of Crawford, he has a 3 inch height advantage, and 3.5 inch reach advantage. Postol looks basic as hell, but it works for him, no one can beat him, even top tier fighters, there's no blueprint for the Light Welterweight Klit.:deal
