Crawford's next two fights - ATG potential?

I'm not sure about that, even if Spence/Crawford lose they can always fight each other a few times & they would have many more opportunities to solidify themselves as great fighters even above their current weight class, one loss shouldn't determine such a bottom line for either guy.

 

There are better resumes, but 4 division undisputed, is impressive.

 

Only pure stupidity would make him an ATG with a win over Spence, who is past prime and post-accident, with his very thin resume.

 

Not if he beats Spence and Charlo, imo. I guess Canelo is up there.

 

Spence has pretty much the best resume you'll get from a guy in the contemporary era and probably onwards without that guy moving up or being a HW. It really is a huge fight. As big as Usyk vs Joshua in terms of importance to the sport.

 

Crawford has only been unified in 1 division 140 at 135 he only had the WBA belt but I do believe he was considered Lineal at 135/40 so you half right but not really.. IF bud win both fights he would get a lot of credit idk if I’d boost him up that high though because overall his resume is trash and 3.5/4 fights out of 40+ doesn’t create a all time great

 

He's arguably that if he beats Spence, the Charlo win would remove any objective argument that I would accept. It'd just be pure haterism at that point.

Spence is a beast of a welterweight with a well rounded game he's huge and undefeated. If bud beats him he would be undisputed in 2 weight classes, unified 4. If Loma did it youd be licking his balls like your life depended on it

 

In my sometimes humble opinion (sometimes not) I think top 25 might be a bit of an exaggeration but ATG for sure.

 

If Pacquiao is an "8 division champion" then Crawford has unified 3 divisions. Easy. Fair.

 

I have to say agree. For example, let's take Leonard vs Mayweather. On paper, Mayweather is much more accomplished than Leonard but Leonard is constantly ranked higher due to fighting better competition (Benitez, Duran, Hearns, and Hagler). I think "names" should matter more than "belts". There is no way in hell you can tell me that Manny is higher on the ATG list than Duran due to being an 8 division world champion.

 

It's not just the "8 Divisions" it's the guys he beat for it, when & even how he beat them that get's overlooked.

you can’t be unified if you only got 1 title in a division? Lol he only won 1 title at 135&147 he’s only been unified at 140 where he was undisputed.
