The activity levels of some of this guys recent opposition is appalling: -Brook had one bum fight in two years & two broken eye sockets -Khan had two fights in 2018 but prior to that he'd been inactive TWO years, prior to that he'd been fighting once a year since 2015.. -Benavidez had 2 bum fights in 2018, zero fights in 2017, one bum fight in 2016.. -Indongo had ONE fight in 20 months.. Who's next? GRJ?
Crawford resigned with Top Rank last time placing value on money over legacy. Getting a few million fighting easier fights isn’t all bad for him, but for us it sucks. PBC froze him out and now he fights bums in Omaha. By the time Bud signs with anyone new he’ll be headed towards the wrong side of thirty. Hope he spent his money wisely.
Whats the point if this thread ??? It's already among the consensus in this forum that Crawford has a pretty trash resume. Same thing with Tank
I always say you just became the undisputed JWW and your company offers you a $3.5 million when no one else is offering nearly that much then you have to take it. Especially around that time Bob Arum had planned on making Pac vs Crawford after Pac fought Jeff Horn. It’s an unfortunate situation but he does himself no favors.
Crawford had the chance to jump in with the top dogs but chose to resign with TR. That's a quack quack to me.
If Crawford is such a weak fighter with a nothing resume, why ain't he getting called out by everybody. The way you gents talk, seems like every fighter out there would be trying to relieve him of that belt.. I haven't seen Crawford turn down a fight. Porter stepped up to the plate only to cry short money. Pac came close but his common sense kicked in and he ran straight for Spence, because Spence won't put the kind of beating on him that Crawford will. He might still be left with some dignity. Crawford takes no prisoners. Josh Taylor mentioned his name playing to media, then he realized he might talk himself into a fight then he shut down. I don't blame him. Nobody wants that Crawford smoke right now. They hoping he loses a step. They are like buzzards, waiting on him to die or get weak then they might pounce. Not right now.
Crawford has to take some of the blame here. He could have stayed with Top Rank had he just stayed at 140 and had no intention of moving up but since he knew he was going to 147 and that PBC had all the big names at that weight he should have left Top Rank high and dry. He trusted Arum, who's a snake who probably told him he would make fights with PBC at 147 but that has never happened. Damn shame really Crawford is a beast and is skilled and will probably never fight the best 147 can offer because of who he's signed to add to that he's pissed Arum off he might want to think about retirement because what's out there for him? Unless PBC can buy him out of his contract which Arum will never go for.
