Bud's welterweight resume IS trash...and that's because the welterweight division itself is hot garbage. Full of ex-140-pounders that fled Crawford to begin with, and 154-pounders who boiled down to a division where they could actually hurt people with their punches. It's why I laughed my ass off at anyone who considered Spence "pound for pound" because he beat the likes of Danny Garcia in a competitive fight. At least Bud is blowing his way through these guys.

The idea that there is this significant difference between Mean Machine and Shawn Porter or Danny Garcia or Ugas was a silly fake narrative PBC helped concoct to pretend that it was Bud avoiding their "Murderer's Row" instead of a bunch of chicken shits running from a life-altering ass beating.
