Crawfords run before Spence and Canelo

Not trying to discredit the guy ? You constantly make threads about Crawford to discredit him because he beat your fighter Spence and since that you've been a hater.

So because Usyk is fighting a shot 40 year old who is 2-4 in his last 6 fights. You turn this into another Crawford hate thread to create mental gymnastics to defend Usyk fighting Wilder ?

I think people don't complain about Crawford's resume the way the may do about Usyk is simpley due to the fact people aren't calling Crawford the greatest in any division he ever fought in. People calling Usyk the greatest HW ever after 8 fights, will draw a lot of attention to his resume and rightfully so.

People did complain about those fights though. It's also important to mention that Crawford didn't exactly have a large pool of opponents to choose from as PBC held most of the major names and those names kept using the "other side of the street" nonsense to steer clear of him.

I personally have no problem with Usyk prioritizing money fights at this stage in his career, I was even saying he should ride off into the sunset and retire as far back as the first win over Joshua lol, but if he wants to have these money fights then he should just drop the belts and stop holding the division up. The same goes for ANY champion. I said the same when Fury fought Ngannou, I said the same when champion Pacquiao was talking about fighting guys like Ryan Garcia and Connor McGregor, and I'd have said the same if Crawford had gotten the Jake Paul fight this December. Wouldn't be much of an issue if all of these guys were more active but they're not. Who's to say Usyk won't fight Wilder and then be out for another year because of another injury or something.

Usyk is calling out a fighter who wasn't great to begin with. He was just a hype machine that was well taken care of his entire career until he ran into real opponents. But Usyk is GOING AFTER HIM.......

Crawford fought Brooke, Khan, and Avanesyan all because SPENCE WOULDN'T FIGHT HIM. Crawford was forced to fight just about everyone he fought at 147 because he couldn't get the Thurman, Pacquiao, and Spence fights. The fights he verbally and passionate called for. You NEVER heard him say he wants Amir Khan. You NEVER heard him say, I want Kell Brook. You NEVER heard him say send David Avanesyan a contract and lets get it on.

Amir Khan was made after Danny Garcia turned down a $3M offer to fight Crawford....a PBC fighter. Amir Khan jumped at the opportunity to fight for a title. Something that none of those PBC bums saw as a priority if the name "Terence Bud Crawford" was attached to it. Angel Garcia (father/coach) is on camera confirming that they didn't even counter offer. Thus they wasn't interest in the match up.

Kell Brook was made because Crawford couldn't get a Manny fight going into the pandemic and Kell Brook approached him saying and I quote "So you are looking for a dance partner".......Crawford asked him, "are you going to be able to make weight"......... Ironically, Manny was signed to.............guess who.........PBC as well. Bob Arum is on record stating that he didn't want to make the Manny fight for Crawford because he thought it was a bad match up for Manny. Manny left Top Rank for PBC.. During the pandemic while everyone was fighting in the bubble, Manny demanded $40M for the Crawford fight......

David Avaneysan, ranked as the #5 welterweight at the time petitioned to get a world title shot after the Spence negotiations fell through and Jaron Boots Ennis's camp turned down an official offer from the WBO sanctioning body to face Crawford. Guess who confirmed that this actually happened........The WBO themselves made it public that they reached out to the Ennis camp and got a denial. This forced Bozy Ennis to explain on camera that they turned down the fight due to 'loyalty to Showtime...... Ironically, either Boots is literally left out of the loop or he plays stupid to save face, because he was still trying to suggest Crawford was avoiding him......

Crawford and Usyk's situations aren't parallel.

And outside of the Canelo and Spence dominating peformances........Crawford is still a 6x world champion. 2x Fighter of the Year, 2x Lineal champion, ESPY Award winner, and wins over 11 world champions with 6 of them undefeated going into the bout.

That's fine that you don't respect his resume....but it's goofy work to turn around and big up a bunch of fighters that hadn't even accomplished half of that......including your man crush Tank Davis who's biggest win was vs Leo Santa Cruz, a guy who was 2/3 divisions smaller than him......and Errol Spence Jr, who's biggest win was Mikey Garcia.....yet another guy who was 2 divisions smaller.

But I'm not trying to "discredit those guys".........lol

We are . It's still a pointless thread, because people did say TC vs Kell was garbage. TC had more haters then fans back then it seemed.

 

Actually there are people saying Usyk is the greatest HW. There was a thread that suggested categorizing the old era fighters as cruiser weights and assess Usyk's career at HW. There are quite a few people that like that narrative. So, to say nobody has said Usyk is the greatest HW is wrong.

 

This is why I can't rank Crawford above Usyk P4P Canelo and Spence are the only well known wins he has.
Spence was overrated and looked tight at the weight not to mention his fan boys using the car crash as an excuse and Canelo was well past his best.

Yep Spence was 100% ducking Crawford with all that BS saying Crawford was "too scared to cross the street"
Maybe had Spence fought him sooner he may have been more competitive but he was never going to beat Crawford.
