Dirrell's corner were ******ed during the Froch fight. They told him round 12 he needed a knock-out to win, despite the fact he was arguably winning the fight up to that point. So they obviously knew he needed to be more aggressive to try and grab a decision, so why not tell him that before the fight starts rather than before the last round?
"Double/triple the jab" and "fight like Joe Calzaghe for a round or two if you can". Jack "eleven punch jab combination" Leow to Pavlik during the ass whopping against Hopkins.
Hahaha, in that same fight, I remember Loew saying this to Pavlik after he tapped Hopkins low during a clinch: "I like how you touched him in the nuts too, good one..." :bartatsch
I hate corners that try to use emotional pleas to encourage their fighter when they should be giving specific technical advice. Cotto's corner was the latest example. I heard some technical advice but for the most part, it was just the "rah rah" stuff. Watching his dad come up to Cotto in the 8th round or so and kiss him was pathetic. Like that's going to help.
He didn't. It's because he said so much he lost his breath. He was basically saying Roy is doing everything and that he needs to go out and fight him (therefore he's implying Ruiz wasn't doing enough).
