I’ve been thinking about the face that had Dave Allen beat Price when they fought (not outside the realm of possibility given Price’s chin), he was being lined up for Povetkin. I can’t think of a more irresponsible piece of matchmaking involving a British fighter. What other fights were rumoured to happen and with the beauty of hindsight it’s a good thing they didn’t?
