Definitely he would be no match for a skilled big man.
However Lee invented his own martial arts system from many sources.
You may well be correct that lack of competitive matches means he would not be as good.
I do not know if there might be exceptions though-what about that relatively recent movie when he faced that other martial arts legend?
I have heard so much in both directions-I am only saying perhaps he could have been great in his weight division if he tried then. Maybe.

Sure someone could beat a Gorlla-if it was sick enough, maybe ill females (who are not nearly as large as males, much more sexual dimorphism in that species), if one freaked out & ran away, refused to fight for some reason...
But a normal male Gorilla who felt threatened & thus made a real effort?
No realistic chance except to survive it if the beast walked away before killing you.
What chimpanzees can do to humans is...Well let's just focus on the more pleasant visions of how they can scamper untrained up rocks better than the top climbers in the world.

My Dad thought Tyson Fury was American. I don't speak to him.

 

Was watching a fight a few years ago at a buddy's house and a friend of his said Let's go to the gas station and get smokes during the intermission after the 6th round. He was dead serious. He had no real idea what he was talking about but as per his own admission has been a boxing fan for 20 years and watches all the fights. I don't think he had ever watched a boxing match but just said he did so he could be part of the conversations about it and not feel left out. I told him to make it quick it's only a 20min break where they go back to the locker room and strategize and prepare for the remaining rounds.

My argument that no mma fighter is beating a boxer in a boxing match riled a coworker up so much that he bet 100 euros and to pay the drinks if Mcgregor won.

 

My manager (a MMA fanatic) said he believed Sugar Ray Leonard would beat Mike Tyson if he was able to keep moving

 

I remember this one dude I used to talk with a little bit about ten years ago now, huge MMA junkie and sports fan in general, but absolutely HATED boxing for some reason. Like, he'd go out of the way to talk trash about it, and this was before I even really got into it past a casual interest, so I wasn't the one usually bringing it up. I didn't pay it much mind because of that. Also cause this guy was generally a hateful crybaby. He couldn't simply dislike anything, it had to be because it was terrible and no good anyways, be it movies, music, video games, anything.

Well, one day I decided I'd finally ask, what's with the hate for boxing? His response was, "It's just a **** sport. The stances are all wrong. You could easily take out any of these guys out with precise leg kicks."

Well I heard a little while ago on another thread that Mayweather was better than Duran and would beat Harry Greb. I believe that qualifies here
