It's good, but not that good, I mean their HOF blah blah, but yes they weren't that good, allot of guys have had better runs and Armstrong didn't clear house at 147, off the top of my head not facing Burley, Holman Williams or Cocoa Kid

Yeah, you've probably co-signed at least 25 of my posts about pre-television boxing. Stop hijacking every thread about how nobody compares to Harry Greb or Jack Dempsey. It's redundant and boring.

it's just the way the internet warriors do it Burt... if you don't agree with them, if you post different opinions, if they won't see it or don't know it, your always wrong - facts and reports don't matter even if they come from the horse's mouth or people that were 'actually there'

matters not to these _uckers, it's just like the one that shout's the loudest and doesn't give the other person a chance regardless of the outside facts... and we are just gouped in as 'trolls'. it's the quickest way these little cliques & groups marginalize people.

****em Burt, you can never win with them. the sad thing is the 'accurate' history of the sport & fighters lose out!

This got of topic really quickly. And NWS is a terrible poster. You know who I miss? Hands of Iron. Now there was a lad who knew what was what.

Milk Thistle, have you figured out Bernard Hopkins is a TOP 100 Middleweight yet? You're invalid. Tell me what about that post suggests internet warrior to you? Armstrong's accomplishments are a 'mere pittance' compared to nobody, and most boxing history literature actually rates him higher than Greb, though I shuffle them and Robinson between 1-3 myself.

Burley is arguably rated higher as is Holman but that aside Ross wasn't a better WW than Burley

Ross does look the best on film out of Armstrong's wins, but he really couldn't punch for toffee and was a tiny WW, an ideal WW championship for a FW pressure fighter coming up in weight

No, Ross is higher ATG and it's not particularly close.
