Just because G was built up into a killer doesn’t me he should be punished when he wins a fight by BOXING. It doesn’t matter what style he fought he didn’t lose 7 rounds.

Canelo looks very flashy when he lets those combinations go. Doesn’t mean he won the fight.

I respect GGG much more as a person than canelo, I think Canelos team HAS gotten unjustifiably good scores before...
But this time Canelo won it. Fair and square

Other fighters and trainers agree, it's only emotionally invested fanboys and media(fanboys with cameras/microphones) that think that a draw or 7-5 win for Canelo is not within the realm of possibility.


If you had GGG winning 8-4 all it takes is 3 rounds scored the other way and you got a Canelo win, are you really going to insist that it just HAS to be corruption?


Canelo has gotten far more outrageous scorecards than 115-113


I found the scorecards in the GGG1 and cotto fights and the draw in the Mayweather fight to be far more absurd

It truly is a fascinating case. In the future college psychology professors will use this in lectures as an example of group denial on a mass scale. They'll call it Golovkin Syndrome.

 

I mentioned this immediately after the fight but nobody was willing to discuss Gennady's reluctance to engage. Guess everyone was too busy crying "robbery".

Those giving reasons as to why Canelo won the second fight, do not take into account that if the same standard of scoring was applied to the first fight, there would have been no rematch.

By the numbers.
1. I agree that 3G footwork may have been overlooked, but I don't think the word "simply" because he he didn't run is accurate. I don't think it's simple to do that to 3G.
2. Controlling the range of fight. From that perspective you're right.

But again, as the one whose career was built on coming forward--- decided to do something different, because the other guy wasn't a pushover. Was using footwork/movement really a tactic Gennady worked on? Or did he decide it as the fight went on? I dunno.

After rewatching a few rounds, some of those 3G jabs were like most fighter's power shots. Still, I can't fathom how this was a robbery. More so, I question if what we saw was anything more than (2) B+ fighters, bringing out the best in each other. & 2 fighters whose fan base would like others to believe they are both A rate fighters.
