crazy punchstats from burns vs katsidis

Burns out-throwing Katsidis is actually quite impressive.

 

Not if you follow scottish boxing closely like I do. Burns outworking & beating Katsidis was no shock to me, but sadly no-one listens to old dunk anymore here it seems...

& I aint complaining as brit ESB has moved on from the days that the old timers opinions were treated with respect... Its all about who can say the most outrageous thing to make the internet vids nowadays... such is life I suppose.

 

The only issue I have with these stats is I can't believe Katsidis landed 190 odd punches.

 

The only issue I have is that Dunky managed to turn a positive post into a whinge.

 

Mate Rickys arms are black and blue with blocking shots i beleive it.

 

Forgive me for my ignorance here, but aren't shots landed supposed to refer to scoring shots to an opponents head and torso?:think

In regards to Ricky's arms, I was thinking that during the fight: "Boy, Ricky's arms are gonna be sore in the morning".

Great performance on Saturday Billy you must of been a very proud man.With a bit of luck Fwankie will have a bit more confidence in Ricky and arrange some decent fights for him.I wanted Ricky to win but thought Katz might be a step to far but couldn't be happier to be proved wrong.Keep on posting your usual mix of talking sense and complete bollocks.:good

No way Burns only landed 25 more punches than Katsidis.

 

I would like to see a rematch. I think Burns won and won clean but it was a really good fight and i think it still sells.

 

I can't believe Ricky out threw katsidis! I thought he was more accurate and landed the cleaner and flashier shots, I'll have to watch the fight again.

Ricky is a brilliant fighter. Would love to see him in against some other styles of boxer and see how he gets on.

its onwards and upwards for him now, unless a rematch was forced upon him then there is no need to face Katsidis again.

 

Ricky did fantastic.

This must make Burns want to fight against this level of opponent on a regular occaision, Burns deserves massive respect from not only the British boxinf fans but Brits in general. The lightweight division is his if he wants it.

I thought during the fight that Burns was out throwing Katsidis, so many great moments when Ricky opened up and though no real damage was done every attack made sure Katsidis was never going to get in with a chance of winning the fight. No need for a rematch.
