Super Greg Page, with Greg being at the peak of his powers after the Snipes win! She's gonna be a tough one!

A fight like this will always be hard for Holmes, but if there's one thing that seemed to bother Page, it was pressure. That wasn't really Homes' thing, but I'd have him step forward with the jab and shoot that highly underrated straight right to the body, keeping Page going backward as much as possible. Merely standing at jabbing distance with him all night is a bad ploy.

I was only kidding, but am much appreciative you have taken this post most seriously. If Page come in motivated as it looked he was going to at the time of the fight it's a fair question both ways. My serious answer would be for Holmes to fight his normal fight and see if he could stay even with the younger Page early in the likelihood that Page would tire later and Larry could take the decision. He would have to be wary of hanging his jab out there due to Page's fast snapping right and move to his right away from this punch for variation. Funnily enough i could see some fierce exchanges in this one due to feeling and the fact Larry didn't mind the odd slugging time when he thought he could come out ok.

............I could envision some good exchanges too, but only if Holmes dictates the pace. To tire his younger opponent out, he's going to need to apply that pressure and make Page react to him rather than trying to match reflexes with the faster, younger guy.

I see Page getting off to a nice start, but Holmes' measured pressure taking a bit of starch from his legs by the middle rounds, with Holmes eeking out the late rounds with a busier work rate and taking a close decision.

I can go with this Sal. Even at the latter stage Holmes was still finishing the better over much younger guys. His determination and heart really did set the guy apart and makes him a chance against any guy he shares the ring with at his best. Regardless of my heat on his latter road i really do rate the bugger immensely. He can fight well vs any style.

Holmes should have given Page the title shot Scott Frank received with his telephoned challenge of Larry, after Greg decisioned Snipes.

Coming off his overtrained performance against Witherspoon, Holmes was pretty much at the height of his powers, while the Dirigible was about to embark on a two match losing streak.

Larry would have taken this one by a pretty boring UD, in a match that wouldn't have done much to capture public attention. Page was tough enough to go the distance, but he was too wide open (and just plain too wide) a target for Holmes to miss with his harpoons. Page would do better if he was allowed to wear additional protective gear other than his cup-like an underwire. (Then, the network wouldn't have to pixellate his pendulous breasts.)

ps: I know it was me you were baiting JT. I didn't want to let you down.

What Page fights have you seen! You haven't seen the right fights. Have you witnessed Snipes and Coetzee?!?!?! Super Greg puts on a clinic, giving Snipes a real bath.
