I agree on Murray for bodypunching. Mitchell has the best chin of the current crop, IMO. Froch is a close second. IQ and Counterpunching are really making me think.
I used to like Witter's left uppercut, it was sort of mixed between that and a hook - often used as a leading punch when drawing the opponent closer.... See the Harris fight for that, I'd say.
None of them have a good IQ thats why, not since Calzaghe retired. Small impressed me with his fight management against Hall, but not consistent enough. He needs to do that a few more times to convince me, after all he was stupid enough to blow his load against Bradley Pryce. If you used Mitchell for chin you could have Froch for heart, that works.
Jamie Moore would have been a good choice for bodypunching too, arguably better since he knocked out Picirillo with bodyshots. Does Ryan Rhodes have a good uppercut?
I chose Froch for uppercut, though. You said one per attribute. I was over-zealous with Khan at the time. Cleverly is good under pressure- maybe a decent shout for counter-punching?:think
Maybe. Still think Cleverly is a natural come forward fighter, he looks better when he gets his combinations off. If there was a 'combination punching' (maybe there should be) I'd pick Nathan. Witter couldn't time his watch at the moment, his counterpunching skills have completely eroded.
Yep my first thoughts for an uppercut but he never really used it well in World level fights besides Harris
Jab - Lynes Cross - Lindsay Uppercut - Fury Bodypunching - Moore Counterpunching - Froch Defence - Afolabi Footwork - Barker Speed - Khan Reflexes - McCloskey Stamina/work-rate - Munroe Power - Haye Chin - Mitchell Ring IQ - Rhodes Heart - Moore
Very nice choices. Not sure Froch's counterpunching impresses me, he's too slow for it. He's better when he puts on pressure.
what Frochs uppercut is shocking from about 6 feet away Jab - John O'Donnel when he throws the thing Cross - Kell Brook Hook - Uppercut - Bodypunching - Mathew Murray - picks them real well Counterpunching - i really want to say Booth here aswell Defence - Ian Napa very smooth Footwork - Speed - Amir Kahn Reflexes - Stamina/work-rate - Nathan Cleverly Power - Chin - Carl Froch Ring IQ - Jason Booth Heart -
:rofl Whole-heartedly agreed. I think people are too impressed by that KO of Magee, that was nice but Brian was ****ed by that point in the fight.
