:good Nothing beats amino acids from food, eggs are unbeatable and a lot cheaper than expensive protein powders that are just derived from food anyway. Cut out the middle man and save your money, it's a shame so many people choose to believe quackery instead of educating themselves and actually learning about nutrition.
hey I'm at the office, i'll break out my pot, boil some water, and have some eggs...oh wait, no I live in the real world where I work for a living, and I actually workout, hey look, I am the ripped bulky guy using protein, and the ectomorph sports centre trainer is going on about herbal remedies and plagiarising his copies of mens health and sports centre weekly to hand out bad advice on a forum in order to feel some self worthatsch I guess Rugby,NFL,Cutler,******,Coleman etc are all in the wrong, and a failed PT is the guru of all fitness:nut I like how you didn't say a thing about eggs incidently, then when someone else does, you act like it was your idea:dead:verysadatsch
I used to love protein but since I've gone on Paleo, it upsets my stomach so it's eggs, almonds and meats for my protein. I'm looking for performance and the looks are the cherry on top for my situation.
How am I acting like it was my idea? He brought it up and I said yes eggs are great. That's a problem sports scientists and nutritionists have with lots of athletes, the athletes want to try unproven things instead of following tried and true nutritional principles. If you see a big muscular guy taking something that's no evidence in itself that what he's taking works, the main thing is genetics and how you train. Nutrition is just support. It's funny that you bring up herbal remedies, that's the side you're on dumbass You know the spastics that instead of taking diabetes medication from a doctor go and see a naturopath to take something with no evidence of it working other than anecdotal reports. You're taking a supplement to feel special about what you're doing because you have an obvious inferiority/god complex. You're taking things derived from food and paying a small fortune you dumbass I've never read a health and fitness magazine, the things I say are from textbooks and journals where actual research has been done and is available for anyone to look at and scrutinise. You look like **** dude, as I've said before your arms are well developed but the rest of you looks pathetic. There is nothing impressive about the way you look, I swear on everything I think you look like **** and that I am more muscular and ripped than you. And I don't even worry about how I look, I just train to get stronger and more powerful.
I'm not going to waste my time typing out a diet plan, your diet should vary from day to day. You need to understand some basic nutritional principles and with the food available to you work within those parameters. To lose the weight and retain your strength you'll want to do it slowly and be on no more than a 500 calorie deficit or your body/metaboloism will get thrown out of whack. On days where you do more exercise with more intensity you'll need to eat more, on rest days and light days where all you're doing is a recovery run or lifting weights then you'll require less energy. You need to figure out your maintenance level of energy before anything else. Then you need to figure out how much energy you burn up during your workouts. You eat a couple of hundred calories less than you need and you'll lose weight, guaranteed. Understanding nutrition will make it easier for you and you'll have more energy while you do it. Sufficient carbs and hydration make more difference to performance than anything else. Your meals should include all your nutritional needs, eating low gi foods should be a priority to keep your blood sugar stable. Make whole grains, vegetables, lean meats and good fats from olive oil and fish your staple foods. High fibre to keep you feeling full. After every intense workout, you'll want about 20-25 grams of protein max with about 40-60 grams of fast acting carbs to maximise protein synthesis and replenish your glycogen reserves. Something like a choc milk or a smoothie with skim milk powder is perfect. A protein shake can be okay on a rest day when you don't mind using protein for energy but on a day where you need to perform you need carbs and you don't want to be using up your energy budget on pointless protein. Anything over 20-25 grams of protein is going to be used up as energy, it's a poor energy source and it heats up your body accelerating fluid loss. Eating small meals over the day helps to keep blood sugar levels stable as well so you won't get cravings for a binge. Drink plenty of water. If you need to lose weight for a weigh in you'll want to be within 5% of your target weigh 2 days before, from there you should switch to low fibre foods to clear the residue in your stomach as well as eating low sodium foods. Your health isn't going to be affected negatively by having a couple of days without good nutrition if you've been eating a healthy varied diet up to that point. Depending on how close you are to your fighting weight you may need to dehydrate a little bit or not, the closer your weight is to your fighting weight 2 days before the less you're going to have to sweat out, anymore than 5% and your performance is going to be affected. The less the better. For those two days before your fight you can eat stuff like jam, fruit juice etc. in small amounts making sure you're still on a calorie deficit. That way you'll have the energy in your muscles for your fight. You sound like you just need general weight loss before then though so eat a good breakfast, eat small meals, plenty of fibre, don't eat food just before bed (especially starchy foods like potatoes), drink plenty of water and eat a wide variety of foods to ensure adequate vitamins and minerals. If you binge or eat calorie dense foods you're going to have to work it off. It's no good eating on a calorie deficit for 6 days then on the 7th going wild or you'll just undo what you did for 6 days. Food is energy, eat the amount that you need. Everybody is different and has access to different foods at different times, the best thing you can do is learn what foods do what and adjust it your daily activity levels. Nobody can just tell you what to eat and when without knowing you well. When you get to the elite level you can get a sports nutritionist to do all the thinking for you, until then you'll just have to research and educate yourself. If you ask on a forum you always run the risk of getting answers from dummies like anglosadcunt claiming they have the magic key that their mate told them about or that they saw in a bodybuilding magazine. Their is no golden ticket for weight loss, it's a gradual process and it's not exciting. Just good eating habits and knowing your own requirements for your BMR and activity levels. I'm guessing you don't train exactly the same with the same intensity everyday so your energy requirements are going to change from day to day.
Um, what did I just watch? Anyways, nice pecs and legs (or lack thereof). And not a single deltoid or trap was seen that day. You mad?
