You shouldn't care. Wilder has to be there, only fools disagree with that and I really dislike Wilder.

Again, Peter Maher has to be there.

 

Lewis couldn't miss out on the top 60 for me. He'd be almost pushing for a spot in the 30 and certainly top 50. Plenty of film evidence and knockouts and stoppages over some big men.

I can never predict just what your fascinating opinions will be, only that they'll be well reasoned and articulated.

 

No doubt he could bang, but I don't see what he ever did to merit a place that high on an all time punchers list. From accounts, he seemed to be more a cerebral boxer/puncher than some dynamite hitter. His first fight with Ezzard Charles being the one outlier.

Then that is outrageously ridiculous and you have a right to be pissed off about it.

Wilder was no top 25 ATG, sure, but he held the title for longer than most of the alphabet champions and was probably one of the top 5 greatest heavyweight punchers of all time. Anyone who can't see that is a complete moron.

He MORE than deserves to be on such lists, he hit harder than cracking punchers like Bowe, Lewis, Tyson, Weaver, Witherspoon, Coetzee....

 

Only when you get Mike Tyson out of top 500.

 

There is no proof whatsoever of how hard Fitzsimmons hit, but there's plenty of footage of Tyson.
And fyi, I never said Tyson is top 10, since this is p4p.

 

Pat was always a guy who I liked. Sure I'm bias because he's a Manny lad, but he had a very fun style and who doesn't lover puncher?

 

Footage is not a proof of punching power.
