EVERY fighter would fight such opponents if they were getting Canelo money and most would do it without handicapping them. In fact, many fighters will accept being handicapped for a fraction of the money Canelo gets. It's called a ''cash out''. Even if Canelo didn't want to fight good opponents he would be FORCED to by the media companies paying him tens of millions. They know there is an expectation from the consumer and they can't get away with just giving them 'bum' fights for mega events and the prices being paid. They also do not want to pay Canelo a fortune for easy fights that don't bring any potential drama as a spectacle. If people want confirmation of this, consider when Conor McGregor wanted to fight a journeyman after losing to Khabib. Dana White told him he just couldn't make that fight, basically scolded him, explaining they couldn't sell this as a mega event. The corporations will not risk the event bombing while paying these stars massive amounts. Stop giving this guy credit over other fighters that he clearly doesn't deserve.

you do realize the only reason Canelo makes the money he makes is because he takes risky fights and wins. That’s literally always been the key of course you got hypejob like a tank Davis or a GGg who are more just attractions then anything but it’s been proven in boxing to become a draw you gotta fight tough fights. maybe if more of these guys wasn’t ducking smoke from they rivals and won they would be able to command they own paycheck like Canelo does.
The thing is Benaividez, Big Charlo, Andrade and Erroll Spence Jr all have at least an even chance or more of beating Canelo the guys he has been fighting don’t except for Bivol and realistically they guys he has been fighting are relative stiffs with no special effects e.g. the vastly overrated Callum Smith, Saunders etc.
Even though Spence is my favorite fighter this is correct. Canelo is taking harder fights and also moving up. He is the best of the post Mayweather era.
You don’t want to see Canelo against the likes of Benaividez, Charlo, Andrade and Spence? If he beats these guys would do much more for his legacy than stupid matchups against Light Heavyweights and Cruiserweights.
Oh bull. People say he's cherry picking Light Heavyweight champions and you want him to fight a Welterweight champ who survived a high speed car crash? The moment he signed to fight Andrade or Charlo people would lump them in with Callum Smith and Saunders.
